Does anyone feel worse after getting into UC Gundam? Not the best idea, but I'm currently in a bad mental place and my dumbass decided to recently read Hathaway Flash.I'm relating a lot to Mafty but the ending pretty much leaves me pretty bitter and realize yeah nothing can be done.... Well done to Tomino and all but I feel even worse reading this rather than woo cool Xi Gundam kit. I like cool robots and all but damn sometimes it's a real downer and I hate feeling this way without being able to do anything with it.

While a lot of his stuff can be depressing, I think he also did and does make things which try to be uplifting. In a sense, a commonality of his works is the continual effort of people to try to strive for a better tomorrow in spite of the recurring tragedies of now. The battle will never be over, but the point is never, ever to give up and accept that. Life is a battle which will go on for both as long as we live and past our deaths, and it is up to us, for the sake of those future people, to fight well, in the hopes that someday there can be peace.

I hope OP can see some of his more cheerful stuff.As an aside, great pick, Xabungle is personally one of my favorite shows of all time. Every time I think about it it feels warm and fuzzy.
