The majority of the cast is so completely utterly fucking boring. Lady has a cool background and great actress, she doesn't do it. Sieg is fun but he's basically not important. Nox is quickly becoming one of the worst secondaries ever with basically no plot relevance and an inability to do fucking anything. Baku suffices as a protagonist, I'll go as far as to call him good I guess. Three is fucking lame, Rita and the other guy may as well not even exist. The supporting cast is totally whatever, I don't feel very strongly about them.But for me this show just has a cast of completely fucking boring losers who for the most part don't do fucking anything, and a protagonist who literally refuses to get anything done. I don't even mind the first half being a dream twist mind you, I actually liked it. But he's accomplished fucking nothing other than avoiding that bad ending, BUT EVEN STILL he fucking lost his upgrade item to save two people, instead of, you know, using his fucking reality warping final form to save them? Just a totally horrible waste of time.Also I feel like the action choreography might honestly be some of the worst in KR history I don't know what happened but it's all so utterly lifeless.Gavan is far as fuck from reinventing the wheel, but Reiji is a good MC and every episode, no matter how small or pointless, has something happen with some nice directing. I also like all the other main Gavans so far, and I think the show's basic premise of alternating focus episodes for everyone has worked out great.

I remember during early Gozyuger and wonder why they celebrated 50th anniversary in a 49th coz it seemed like blowing their load early, and one of my thoughts was that they gonna extend Gozyuger into another year, like how Gorenger got extended.And now with Gavan being only half year and acts as a transitional season, I wonder what if Gozyuger got extended instead and then they go to Omegahorn. The extended period could work on transitioning audiences from Sentai to Omegahorn too.
