Ken Ishikawa's Void Chronicles is really something. I've seen space Christians in Nemesis the Warlock, space Muslims in Dune and even space Vikings in Thorgal but space Buddhists are a new one. I will admit I don't really get what's going on though and I'll probably have to reread it once it's fully translated.

I also really enjoyed Majuu Sensen. Takes the phrase "Inside you there are two wolves" to a whole new meaning.
>>23890613>Sci-fi huns For me it's the Grendels, though they're sort of a mix of everything
>>23890361>Zion is a space colony consisting mainly of Rastafarians.Wut? I guess that explains where the Cyberpunk tabletop game got the inspiration for its space niggas too.
>>23888852>space BuddhistsI dunno why, but i always tought buddhism was a great spiritual background for mechas in space, maybe because buddhist cosmology Is in itself somewhat of a space opera, maybe because all the virtues buddhism exalt aré the same pilots need(focus, awareness in the presente moment, awarness of your death)
>>23891171a LOT of the OG Gundam's newtype reads to me like the mind-of-no-mind and reading your opponent's killing intent>>23888852>space Muslims in Dunewhere the fuck you think the "zen" in Zen-Sunni came from? Intergalactic Ninjas?

>>23891171>>23891204Probably because the mecha genre originates mostly from a country that is predominantly Buddhist.
