From the darkness within the self... Arizez a power beyond this world...
I guess I’m glad the stupid ending from last episode wasn’t the true turning point for Nox, but it only made that episode even dumber.
>>23898811... how?
What did you like and dislike about the 38th episode?
Arguably the dumbest character in a show filled with dumb characters >turn every one of his powerful agents against him, including those he could have manipulated to complicate things for Baku, such as his own father.>such an asshole that every one of his enemies from different factions unite to take him down or stop fighting among themselves>kill those underneath him instead of mind controlling them like he’s able to, discarding useful agents for no good reason.>after killing said agents he does not replace any of them with substitutes that can share the same power, making him an easy target for the many people who want him dead>use a program not created by him but by his superior without really knowing how to use it. Biggest accomplishment he made is make people think Nightmares and Nem are 2d characters, none of which furthers his goals or stops his enemies.>Failure gives his enemies easy access to take over CODE and undo everything he made>has no actual goal or purpose beyond “controlling dreams” which fails to control the population from finding out the truth.Don’t see the point of him beyond being a basic scapegoat. Kinda cool he was turned into documented confessions, but if Nox was smart and not a dumbass he’d know there’s no easier coverup than the one printed in paper.
>>23898819The bro handshake at the end of last episode is just undone as Nox goes on his own again.
>>23898793>>23898843It was decent enough, but the real problem with Nox is that there are two impressions of him.>the one in the premonition who is a bastard willing to sacrifice everyone else for his petty vengeance>the one in reality who did basically nothing for several episodesSo you either see him as an asshole undeserving of being in Baku's team, or as a boring, dead weight who took 38 episodes to do something of value. Either way, this moment for him is completely unearned. The speeches Fujimi and Baku give him are the same as always; this isn't a well-thought-out, long redemption arc for this character, it's just that now he's decided to turn for plot convenience. When people say later that >can you believe it took near 40 episodes for the primary and secondary to be friends? It wasn't because Nox and Baku's relationship had been slowly developing throughout those nearly 40 episodes; it only happened because that was around the time they decided to push them together. So it's just a generic "redemption" for an underwhelming character.
>>23898845>basic scapegoatand you nailed it right there...we know ALL the whole 'CODE is evil' deal started narrative-wise from Zero ditching NOX on that mission, possibly the turning point that started every single tragedy in story except for Nemu and LA SEÑORA's deal.but now, they are implying that was never the case, it wasnt Zero who gave the order, but 3, never mind the fact it was Zero's voice coming from the phone, not 3's! and since now CODE is dead, Zero will never even apologize for his crap, and why should he? is not like he didnt do anything wrong...>But Zero laments his mistakes and realized he was wrong, he said so himself today.it might be true, but unless what happened with NOX is not adressed, it doesnt matter, period. it was literally that single event that started this shitshow in the first place. and Zero was the one who started it, NOT 3.
What are your debut impressions on Nox Midnight Shadow?
>>23898859I definitely will find it very funny to see Zero and Nox working together in the future when Zero is what Nox hated from CODE the most. He has no real connection to Three beyond his mind control, so this fight with him was more payback for that than anything else. They could have done something interesting by addressing that Three just did what Nox did on the premonition: try to kill Baku, kill the same two agents, and risk the lives of the general population. They couldn't even do that, even if it would have been a cool character moment for Nox to swear he will never go that dark path again. Accept that he could have become that evil, but won't anymore, thanks to his friends. But nah.
Just make Nox kill Zeroez
>>23898900Zero is the reason he was saved from brainwashing in the first place
>>23898864I wish he used more shadow powers. The portals and the dark room finisher were cool but feels like stuff his base form could do
>>23898793>>23898843Another meh episode, this show has lost a lot of steam lately. After the cliffhanger from last episode, Nox just nopes out and goes back to being his usual tsundere self, which means he did the forced handshake with Baku for no reason other than to trick the audience into thinking he was finally joining the heroes and then give us a cheap surprise by subverting that moment in the first few minutes of the next episode.I assumed they would kill Five off at some point, but the way they did it was just so sudden and unsatisfying. I know he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but what made him think he could just walk out of CODE like that when he knows they're currently hunting down all of the rogue Agents unaffected by Somnia? He had the potential to do more as a good guy and I wish he would've went down fighting, but they offed him right after his face turn just like Kureha, so he's just another wasted character added to the pile. I'm gonna miss him, he was somehow one of the better side characters in the show. The way Nox obtained his upgrade was quite rushed: he just decided he needed more power to take CODE down, got trapped inside his dream world by Phantom's power, fought Shadow for a few seconds, received a speech from Fujimi & Baku and voilà, new upgrade unlocked just halfway through the episode. Fujimi telling Nox to think about the people he's gonna leave behind is funny because he's the only character in the whole show who cares about him.Anyways, I don't give a fuck about Nox and this episode cemented him as the most nothing Secondary Rider yet, I'm not even sure if he has joined the heroes for real now or if he's still on The Lady's side and is simply more open to working together with them.(1/2)
>>23898933Nasuka just showed off how much she regressed as a character thanks to the Somnia subplot this week by expressing how overwhelmed she was by the dream Agent stuff yet again and attempting to cockblock Fujimi's attempt to expose CODE's truth to the public. Also, she still doesn't know that Kureha's dead, hopefully they tell her next week now that Somnia's not affecting her anymore.Fujimi on the other hand was kinda useful this week by fulfilling his obvious story purpose of bringing Nox closer to the heroes, but like I said, it's still hard to determine how much of a good guy Nox is now.The fight between Midnight Shadow and Three Booster was neat, they made good use of their powersets. Also, Exdream is finally back but it didn't really do much, it just destroyed a laser barrier and the belt that the Somnia Capsem was inserted in, which are things I don't think Baku really needed to use Exdream for.Three is also dead now, I think he's been the best antagonist of the show so far by virtue of not being a vagueposting faggot like Nox, not being annoying and relegated to a comic relief like Sieg, and actually doing things unlike The Lady. He wasn't great, didn't have many fights and was kinda incompetent and dumb, but the bar for this show's villains is really low. The way he died by being turned into documents detailing CODE's shady operations was neat, but I feel like the conclusion of his arc as the main villain was rushed. And why did he have the Erase Capsem? Didn't Nox hide away the Nox Knight gear before the events of the show? I also don't know where they're going to go with Nox and the cops' mission to expose CODE's "darkness" now, since it seems like Zero is gonna take back control of the organization and Three seems like the perfect scapegoat to pin all of its misdeeds on. At the very least we didn't get any cringe scenes involving Sieg this week.(2/2)
>>23898843Pro:CODE arc is done finally thank godmidnight shadow looks coolCon: The Resolution of the last two arcs scream rushed and feels like it was done so we can finally get to the Big boss nightmares.Five dying. I liked what bit of characterization he had going onTentative pro until we actually see what happens next week: Sieg getting body jacked(Dream Jacked?) by his nightmare and going back to being an antagonist. Gonna guess he's gonna be the mook for the Big Boss Nightmares
>>23898937 cont.Oh, and it was nice to see Baku use Dualmare as a drone. Also, Three absolutely didn't need to personally go after Fujimi of all people when he's the only one who can really protect the CODE HQ, they could've sent normal Agents after him like the ones that kidnapped Minami. That was another dumb thing about this episode.
Did the direction feel off for anyone else or was it just me?Like the visual direction is fine, amazing even but there were 3 times the music was awkwardly cut off and the choreography felt significantly weaker this time, I thought it might have been due to Nox not using a weapon this time but Eitoku hasn't really had trouble with hand to hand combat before so I really don't get what happened hereMy only guess is that the action was issue of this being the first episode filmed after 3's suit actor broke his skull and it just like Nox's the problem because Eitoku has trouble matching the new actor's skills? But even then that doesn't suddenly explain the music
Mega link?
>>23898993>the choreography felt significantly weaker this timeIt felt like Zeztz's usual to me, Eitoku's moves as Nox have always been stiff as fuck.
>>23899004IDK I don't think Zeztz's choreography overall is standout but I felt Nox's fighting style usually feels cleaner than this, in here it felt as if Nox didn't even know how to fight properly
Describe this individual.
>>23899097Not freaky enough
>>23898942>Also, Three absolutely didn't need to personally go after Fujimi of all people when he's the only one who can really protect the CODE HQ, they could've sent normal Agents after him like the ones that kidnapped Minami. That was another dumb thing about this episode.Fujimi was in the dream world, and Three killed all the other lucid dreamers besides himself, so there weren't any agents left.
>>23899139All dreams are connected due to Somnia, that's why schmucks like Fujimi and Nasuka can participate in the dream world scenes now. There was nothing preventing them from sending regular members of CODE (normal people, not ones who went through Dream Learning) to take care of Fujimi like they did when they kidnapped Minami.
>>23899097Just weird for the sake of being weird
>>23898864I hate the Beywheelz on his driver.
Why the hell does Reiwa Rider consistently start out strong only to completely shit the bed near the end
>>23899184A big reason is because half the shows are written by Takahashi.
>>23899187Ah I see I have someone to blame now for Kamen Rider having terrible ending arcs.
>>23898864>can finally hear the attack name without the toy WHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING over the sound>"Nova Blades">doesn't involve blades of any kind>turns 3 into paperWhat the fuck were they thinking?
wait so how nox turn lord three into fucking paper in real world?
>>23899251Dreams affect reality in this show.
>>23899268then how can he do that in the dreams? did he used some bullshit imagination power to turn humans into paper? nox power is revolved around shadow manipulation
Takahashi really looked at the Bitter Gavvs and said "let me cook"
>>23899271It's bullshit dream magic, I ain't gotta explain shit.
>>23899271>nox power is revolved around shadow manipulationApparently not anymore, as you can see.
>>23899210Nova Blaze.Retard.
>>23899292>(You)I accept your concession.Retard.
>>23899307SMOKED THAT BITCHASS KEKYPOW
Man if only I gave even the slightest shit about Nox as a character
So Three was just an Evil Jerk for the hate of the game? No being possessed by a Nightmare or anything?
>>23899335I mean, his plan with controlling the dreams would technically stop new nightmares from being born. So, yeah, it makes sense he wasn't controlled by a nightmare.
>>23898942>Also, Three absolutely didn't need to personally go after Fujimi of all people when he's the only one who can really protect the CODE HQMost of the time we've had Three going out like this he didn't really "need" to do it which is why he was killing people with a freaking gun. This is consistent with his actions it's just this time it finally bit him.
>>23899273Wait are you serious? They only made ONE suit for Nox Knight and Lords Three and Five and that's why we almost never saw any of them and Nox Knight disappeared so quickly?
>>23899564Yep, all male lords/knights share one suit.
Can anyone get me a screen recording? the mega link is not working
>>23899401He went after Agents who can use Capsems and transform the previous times, first time he was protecting the CODE HQ and there were no other dream Agents available since Five and Six were dead, in the second instance he had to dispose of two Agents and brought Five with him. And it's not like he always goes out to do the job himself, he didn't personally kidnap Minami for example. Fujimi is just a normal person who has no powers to defend himself, this was riskier and dumber than the instances where he executed other Agents.
>>23899564Nox Knight disappeared so quickly because Kamen Rider Nox had to debut at the start of the year since its toy belt was scheduled to come out around that time.
>>23899858>And it's not like he always goes out to do the job himself, he didn't personally kidnap Minami for example.Nor did he attempt to personally interrogate and eliminate Nox in the RPG episodes, nor did he go after Nox and the Disaster Nightmare during its arc, nor did he go to personally retrieve the Zeztz Driver during the recap episode.
Case 38.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVpPHuag9gA
So.. was it worth for Nox to be Vague for so long? Now that we know everything about Code, and that it was mostly Three responsible for all of it's supposed darkness?
>>23899957>So.. was it worth for Nox to be Vague for so long? Not at all
The return of Orderm.
>>23899957Yes. 1, 3, 5 and 6 are dead, only 0 and 2 to go
>>23900013You forgot about 7 and 17.
>>23898793Sex with Odaka Kensei.
>>23900025There's also 8 through 16
>>23898843A decent ep, if not for a few oddities.I didn't mind Nox returning to being tsundere after last ep, since proving the sentiment behind the handshake later on made it more meaningful.I didn't mind Five dying either, as much as I came to respect his character. I just wish they had given him a better send off than unceremonious car bomb. At least have him act with more resignation than surprise.I enjoyed Fujimi finally getting that talk with Nox and the drinking bet coming up. Maybe should've happened last ep, but I appreciated it all the same. Also appreciated Nox's facade slipping for a moment. I wish we could have gotten moments like that earlier, but it's still good to see.Nox actually getting his upgrade was a little rushed, but I can't deny the sequence was cool. The rematch with Three could have been better choreographed, as well as better usage of Nox's powerset (and character theme), but it was still fun. And the after effects of the kick turning Three into his own affidavit was wild. That said, Baku recovering his Driver was a little too much of a footnote, especially given he continues using the replacement ep. I know about the drawbacks and not having the default belt out of the spotlight for too long, but this whole plot could've been handled a little better.>>23898859>but now, they are implying that was never the case, it wasnt Zero who gave the order, but 3Isn't that part just conjecture? Unless it was teased somewhere and I missed it.>>23898872Does it really need to be spelled out? The subtext is clearly there.>>23899957I wouldn't say it was entirely worth it, though I do believe there' still more to CODE that has yet to be revealed, especially since we still don't know why Zero burned Nox.
Still hits my weekly Toku quota. I'm entertained but not having as much "fun" as Gotchard or Gavv at this point. I'm only looking forward to Siegnanigans from now on.Them cutting off the insert song is fucking stupid and 4/6 Reiwas have sucked in using them. 01 barely passes.
>>23899097His shoes don't fit.
>>23900025Better save it for the movie
Insert song was cool, what I could hear of it.
>>23900115>Does it really need to be spelled out? The subtext is clearly thereIt's not there, it's shoved under the rug even though it's related to very important events that can't just be addressed in an off-hand way or outright ignored. If it's done like that, it's just poor writing that won't give the necessary impact to an important event like this.
>>23900013Shut the fuck up, Nox.
>>23900115>since proving the sentiment behind the handshake later on made it more meaningful.Him walking away just made the handshake meaningless since they didn't actually convince him to work with them until later. He had always been like that ever since the reset, he does something nice that makes it seem like he's turning face only to walk away and insist that he only cares about his revenge mission. That handshake wasn't a brand new development, it was just set-up for yet another lazy subversive twist.
>>23900299>t. CODE dog
>didn't kill threeneutered nox
>>23898941>CODE arc is done finally thank god>Neo Code arc soon
>>23900412You mean CODEC/DECODE
>>23898845*stealth shoots u**doesn't actually kill u**drops his cloak to show u its him shooting u instead of walking away*CODE trains only the best agents
>>23899097The Rizz Lord...
>>23900504He could've also just used Erase from the get go to not make a scene instead of attempting to shoot Fujimi dead and THEN pulling Erase to wipe his and Nasuka's memories out after failing to kill him.
>>23899097Funny face. Very expressive. Hope he gets a nice, long career as a villain.
>>23900419RE:CODEZ
>Three has to do his own dirty work because he killed all his own subordinates>flubs his shot on a civilian that wasn't aware of his existenceThat's the most hilariously dumb plot point.
>>23900115>muh subtext
>>23899861That still doesn't explain why NK came out so close to KRN.
>>23899957>Now that we know everything about CodeWe still don't know Zero's superiors. If everything bad were three then the vagueness would be even more retarded as Nox could've just contacted Zero.
>trying to make sense of 3's actionsI really hope you never ever have to work under a narcissist boss, my dear autistc friends.
>>23900712It was Three who convinced the higher-ups to fire Zero and activate Somnia so...
