If they are going to add that many detail, it's better if they made the design a bit more boxy instead of having lots of smooth round parts. Smooth round parts and overtly detailed design doesn't mesh very well. The chest area is especially ugly. Head is fine.

The problem is there is no negative space left on the entire body, and thus, no focal point with a recognizable distinct shape to define it in your mind.

When you think of OG Gundam, the first thing that stands out is the two prominent squares on the torso. For Wing Gundam, it's the green jewel in the chest. God Gundam has the huge double V-fin and the gold fairing on the chest.

This thing has no bold, prominent features at all. Even the football chinstrap just reminds of EZ-8 instead. Totally lacking color just adds to the problem of nothing standing out.

-No recognizable Gundam traits in the silhouette
-No memorable shapes or forms
-Heavy-looking, looks like late game MonHun armor with a space theme
-Visually indistinct from background structures (do cars look like the garage, or the road? Do jets look indistinct from a carrier)
-Rounded shapes and surface details make it seem hard to move without armor bits grating against each other
-Crazy levels of surface detail that don’t make much sense mechanically. Why do the armor plates on the legs have raised parts and reliefs? What is going on with the chest? Why is the chest not armored and made of 3 distinct vertical slices on each side? So many exposed bolts! What the fuck is going on with the back? What are the things sticking out from the back?

All things considered, Bamco had shown some restraint over the years when it comes to raping a long-running IP and unleashing floodgate of franchised gundam-in-just-a-name turboslop would be unfathomably fucked up.

We had DG Cells as the closet, but that was still a human centric conflict. I think less people would be angry if the designs were more recognizable and didn't look like they shoved Gundam on a to an unrelated game.
Right now it just looks you will be fighting robot dragons and scorpions in some Chinese mech game

The 00 movie was also a human centric story and the aliens didn't look like fantasy shit.
I know nothing about the manga and only knows it exists now because it is used as a gotcha despite it being brand new
