I don't know if I'd expect robots. Saga kept them but Saga was very much influenced by Gears, keeping alot of the mythology if slightly changed up to avoid SE owned stuff (and even then some was so close I was surprised they got away with it) and Jin was basically just Citan again even with the same voice in Japanese. Even then Saga 1's robots were kind of just there because Gears had them (they're servicable but the character techs are superior in the end) 2 and 3 had them more like Gears where they had a seperate system where you had to use them. But once they got to Blade most of that stuff got phased out as they were then two companies removed from the original idea.
