Sounds like something lesbians would like.

Was the writer trying to troll Tomino or something?
>>
Genuinsly all they had to do was put her in prison like Shaddiq and that would have solved the problem. Just replace that ending scene with Suletta, Miorine, and Eri's data ghost visting her in prison.
>>
>>23906002

As a continuation of what I said in >>23905977 (spelling error aside), same. Heck, just having a guard by the wheelchair-bound Elnora in the ending we got doesn't change anything.

She didn't. She put Eri in the Aerial to save her from dying of natural causes.
>>
>>23905926
>starts a war
Also not her. She blew up the stash of Lfriths outside the city. Then everyone just started shooting each other rather than investigating.
>>
>>23905926
She didn’t get Eri killed
She also didn’t start a war, technically by targeting SAL’s bunker of Ochs Earth tech she did prevent a much bloodier conflict that could’ve happened if those mass produced Lfriths got distributed
She pretty much sits around with her super cancer that seems to be disabling her body more and more, doesn’t seem very happy and her main goal of freeing Eri isn’t accomplished
She’s basically like Katejina ending wise
>>
>>23905926
Yes rich people tend to get away with a slap on the wrist, especially company execs and such
>>
>>23906035
Katejina ended up blind and buttery, her only "got away" is being mentally fucked. One could argue having no memories of her atrocities is her getting away with it, I suppose.

Well the thing is that she's playing it up so no one catches onto what she really wants.

>>23906193
I initially thought the school premise was stupid but it was okay, they shoehorned the whole medical/mech/tech thing in an acceptable way. From that, I liked the academy mecha duels. It was different but not stupid, if that makes sense.

I really, really like the Calibarn.

As for the characters, I kinda liked the show using the greenhouse scenes to sort of pace and parallel everything. I liked Guel too.

As for the second half I really need to rewatch it because Miorine in the second half moved in ways that flew over a little over my head sometimes.

I do wish there was a bit more time spent explaining the various rich fucks, their families and motivations, the witches (like shit, do more than just seem like you're puppet pullers bene genserrit), so that there was more "satisfaction" when Miorine finally did what she did at the end. I understand that might be just me though.
>>
I think WfM was a great intro show for people to maybe get into Gundam, but a meh show for people who were already fans of the franchise.

Same. The production team were wimps with how many episodes they wanted, which restricted with how much the post-Drone War world worked and more on how Spacian-owned coglomerates worked.

She didn't kill Eri.
Eri coincidentally got sick with the space flu right as soon as she showed her permet tolerance. Personally i think that a cowardly writing choice since it whitewashes the act of turning her into a weapon. It reminds me of how how they decide to pre-emptively "punish" Prospera by her saying "ah actually my legs are broken now" while still standing and walking normally normally.
She actually did kill several of her toddler "repli-child" clones into the children of the coven though (which is literally only ever brought up during El5n getting inside the gundam and that shitty exposition scene where they tell Suletta her own backstory) and anyone who argues otherwise is themselves guilty of not paying attention to the show.

I'm sure it's not meant to be taken like this but I think being in that situation while having to watch Suletta, the clone she emotionally airgapped herself from intended as simply a tool, live her best life has to be some kind of torture.
She's got a wife she only even met because of the plan, who helped foil it, the two of them are now proving that the more idealistic dream of her research wasn't impossible, and of course Eri is now a fucking keychain that seems to have happily slotted into the keychain/daughter of the man that took everything from you twice over now/clone family unit.

Same. SuleMio to me was second to what I expected with WfM until Season 2 happened, especially with the ending.
>>
>>23947984
The prologue was originally intended to just be a flashback around when Suletta finds out what happened, it was spun off into a full episode because of Bamco wanting something from the production they could release ahead of airing, like how the opening of the first Hathaway was put online. It was less a bait and switch and more that a late restructure led to the surprise darker elements actually coming first.
>>23949043
I do genuinely believe they came up with too many ideas for Ad Stella and didn't know how to cram them all in. I'd much rather that than the inverse problem, but it'll be a shame if they don't get a chance to explore some more of the Earth-space relations or transhuman stuff in something later.

Remember when in an interview they said something like "we created this setting with potential for expansion" and all they've done is like 1 manga spin-off?
totally wasted potential.
We should've had a WfM sequel that expanded on the consequences of how Suletta resolved the conflict in the show.
>>
>>23950784
I think it's pretty clear they're pretty controlling of the setting, which ends up backfiring and leading to less content. Even SRWY was clearly very limited in the ways it could change Witch's story compared to the other shows - like they have other characters talking about how Gundam and Gund-Arm isn't the same, but then when redoing Witch scenes, they follow the show's dialogue to the letter and all Witch scenes still always regard Gundam = Gund-Arm. There's also no real integration of the Witch setting in non-Witch stories.

And apparently it's troublesome enough using Witch characters they haven't even featured them in any of the DLC stories released after launch (they were in an early DLC that came alongside the game, but although their names are mentioned in later DLC, the Witch characters never get lines).

GQX seems to be even worse on this matter considering how it didn't even get one tie-in manga. It's weird how this younger staff who grew up knowing about how Gundam's expanded content played a big part in its popularity seems to strangle it.
>>
>>23950800
SRWY was also in production at an awkward time relative to the show's production cycle is my understanding, which didn't help.
>>
>>23950822
>SRWY was also in production at an awkward time relative to the show's production cycle is my understanding, which didn't help.
This theory kind of falls apart when the post-launch DLC clearly had issues even compared to the DLC launched alongside the game.
>>

SRW tends to not stray TOO far with debuts and especially early inclusions where the story wasn't complete when they wrote their own
>>
>>23950885
I'm not talking about "straying too far", I'm talking about how for example, the companies from Witch from Mercury just don't exist when they aren't dealing with the WfM plot. Or what I said above, about how they didn't even tweak dialogue when referencing actual tWfM plot points. The other series in the game don't have this issue.

The later DLC being even more restricted than the launch one to the point the WfM characters can't even get lines, just being mentioned by other characters, goes against the narrative that it's due to being "early" too.

>SRW tends to not stray TOO far with debuts and especially early inclusions where the story wasn't complete when they wrote their own
Also, this really isn't true. That happened with Rebuild of Evangelion because Khara staff outright told them to not do an original ending before Rebuild had finished. But this wouldn't be a problem with WfM since the game was obviously only coming out after the anime had finished.

Wing in Shin had a completely new backstory for Zechs joining Neo Zeon. Linebarrels in UX had an original climax/final battle with Deus Ex Machina since the manga was unfinished. The story doesn't just stop.

Gridman in 30. Yamato in V. All added while sequel series were being made/running too.
>>
>>23950897
>the companies from Witch from Mercury just don't exist when they aren't dealing with the WfM plot. Or what I said above, about how they didn't even tweak dialogue when referencing actual tWfM plot points
This is what happens with early inclusions yes but there are changes, what do you want them to tweak? Guel, Prospera and Chuchu all end up in different places compared to how they're supposed to be in S1

>Also, this really isn't true. That happened with Rebuild of Evangelion because Khara staff outright told them to not do an original ending before Rebuild had finished. But this wouldn't be a problem with WfM since the game was obviously only coming out after the anime had finished.
They very clearly said they finalized the game's story layout before S1 even ended.

>Wing in Shin had a completely new backstory for Zechs joining Neo Zeon
WFM has a completely different Guel storyline to excuse him joining the team through Domon, his dad barely exists there

>Linebarrels in UX had an original climax/final battle with Deus Ex Machina since the manga was unfinished
They did their own version of WFM''s S1 ending using L Gaim and Dunbine's enemies

This is not particularly outlandish behavior, what you could argue is what they did wasn't very exciting, but it wasn't 1:1

>Gridman in 30. Yamato in V. All added while sequel series were being made/running too.
Literally not the same case
>>

>The later DLC being even more restricted than the launch one to the point the WfM characters can't even get lines, just being mentioned by other characters, goes against the narrative that it's due to being "early" too.

>>
>>23950917
>what do you want them to tweak?

I mean, I mentioned above, the lack of integration of the setting when they aren't dealing with Witch stuff.

>They very clearly said they finalized the game's story layout before S1 even ended.

Yeah, but they knew it'd only launch afterwards, so it's not the Rebuild issue here where they'd presumably make an ending before the official one and the creators told them to avoid that.

>WFM has a completely different Guel storyline to excuse him joining the team through Domon, his dad barely exists there
It's basically just spinning around though, since he isn't even allowed to meet other Witch from Mercury characters after the point where his story seemingly deviates.

>They did their own version of WFM''s S1 ending using L Gaim and Dunbine's enemies
And we know they had to get specific authorization for something as inoffensive as what they did.

>The DLC also barely has any interaction for ANY cast member who isn't apart of those storylines, when was the last time you saw someone like Emma talk?
I mean, Emma barely talks in the base game and really seems to be in the game just because they wanted an oldtype UC pilot for gameplay reasons. The Singular Point cast gets lines in the DLC packs even though they aren't really related to any of the stories in the DLC packs so far. They make at least someone from every show get some lines here and there, aside from the Witch cast.

Do you expect someone that says "NTR vibes" to be anything other than a non-white?

They didn't. The game came out after it ended.

>how does game development work

It's amazing how they can literally come on stream and explain these things and people don't realize that just because a game came out after something doesn't mean they can hapazardly redo the game.

I don't get why the writers hated his character so much

>spend at least 90% of the screentime dicking around rather than doing anything with it.
You know what? I'm still mad. Genuinely the more I remember about the show, the angrier I get.
The worst part is every now and then they would show just a glimmer of competence that made it look like they were steering the ship around to keep stringing me along and suddenly there's 2 episodes left and it's a big fuckoff lights festival.

It's okay, the transhumanism plotline was wrapped up by Eri becoming a keychain and also quiet zero becoming a completely accidental artificial afterlife so the characters can have a forgiveness party for 2 minutes before it dissolves into rainbow powder

If you take the idea that he's a rewrite of Akio by a Utena fan who hates Akio fucking everyone it makes sense why they wrote Shaddiq to branches pathetic loser
