this was much better than "Lalah could have been a mother to me"
why did Tomino replace this with an inferior ending?
>>

Knowingly trying to kill Sayla is pretty insane
>>

This is a generic ending that only satisfies superficial sensibilities, it's clearly inferior to the film's iconic finale.
Lalah's theme is the underlying element for both characters throughout the film, and that final statement is Char's complete opening, his greatest act of sincerity in the finale, the revelation of his deepest and most pathetic conflict: the search for perpetual solace in the eternal feminine.
I think it's brilliant that Amuro has absolutely no idea what he's talking about; that whole scene is a mixture of transcendence, pathos, and absurdity.

>this was much better than "Lalah could have been a mother to me"
hell no. BC is generic bullshit, CCA is superior in almost every way.
>>
>>23907381
>bullshit
BC explained what caused the Axis Shock.
CCA didn't and it became a complete mystery even in sequels
>>
>>23907382
>CCA didn't
Yes it did. The magic T took the life energy of everyone dying trying to stop Axis from falling to lift it out of the atmosphere.
>>
Fans of Char who think he was actually all smart and charismatic and everything he pretends to be like BC because it almost redeems him at the end. He has this moment of clarity where he can see through all the grief he suffered and be the "real" him. Everyone else likes CCA because it shows that he is what he always was, genuinely mentally unwell. It's really just extra tragic for Amuro as he must surely think "The most important person in my life thinks a prostitute who is younger than him could mother him. I considered this retard my peer."
>>
>>23907383
I never understood that part. What exactly was it? A psycommu?
>>

Fuck off Duel.

This, and I prefer the CCA ending, but I also can't help but feel a degree of warmth to the BC ending. We manage to get one bit of genuine human warmth and regret out of him, one human moment from this otherwise-incomprehensible sad-loser monster. Whereas the CCA ending is very fitting and defining. I like the CCA ending more but I can't hate the BC ending either
>>
does anyone know where i can find the complete manga? i found a site that had it except the last chapter.
Honestly i feel that CCA is better than BC but it does give more context to CCA
>"how does char make the entirety of sweetwater join him?"
>"why does Quess act like a psycopath"
its because of how aggreasive the federation is towards people. Tho i would have loved to have Amuro as a dad in CCA
>>
>>23907823
The Tem Ray Circuit, obviously
>>
>>23907950
It's not translated.
>>
>>23907956

>A psycommu?
Pretty sure they called it that in the movie or that heavily implied that it had psycommu-like properties.
>>
>>23908040
Thanks anon. That's what I thought was implied as well but I never really saw anything else on it. I wonder if I just missed when they called it that in the movie.
>>
>>23907950
>>"how does char make the entirety of sweetwater join him?"
just watch the film.
>>"why does Quess act like a psycopath"
retard
>>
>>23907342
https://youtu.be/rNUSFcH20ok? Someone splice this into the movie and you’ll have your ideal CCA ending.
>>
>>23907396
I don't care, they're all charwank in same and different flavors anyway
>>
Don't post on Duel threads.

>Knowingly trying to kill Sayla is pretty insane
The asteroid wasn't aimed at Sayla's island in the Pacific. Char was aiming for a large land mass in order to spread nuclear fallout and contaminate any remaining farmland liveable area.

Sayla would survive but the Earth would eventually get colder and fall into a nuclear winter. Most humans would be forced to leave Earth as the planet temperature falls and earth turns into a popsicle.
