Did most of /m/ become mecha/anime fans via non English dubs? in the 80s or 90s?
Go back to /int/, Italian.

Listen to stuff in Japanese? Sure. Hell, most shows I refuse to watch if the voices are English.
>>23908884All thanks to borrowing my Chink friend's PS1 SRWF out of a whim back in 2000. That's the first step of knowing and hunting and loving /m/ shows
>>23909018Italians and Phillipinos are stronker /m/en than murrican'ts
>>2390888480s yesnon-English no
>>23909184You got that right.
>>23908884No, I didn't live anywhere near where that stuff was accessible, end even if I did, I was too young to be able to keep up with subtitles. Also, my parents tended to be rather closed-minded, so they never would've permitted it. I hate missing out.>>23909068More like resenting my circumstances for leaving me wanting.
>>23909184That's really not saying much at all.
>>23909135Is that supposed to be a flex? If so, then the joke's on you because that practice is the norm on this site.
>>23914344Then why do you get offended about it?
Eh, kinda sorta? I got into it thanks to Gundam Wing being on Toonami with like reruns of Robotech and Voltron. I went full swing when I bought Getter Robo Armageddon back in the early 2000's. Great fucking dub BTW.
