Not that far off from starting Heisei phase 2, what are generally considered the low points and high points in it and Reiwa?

Wizard is just really repetitive, keeping the same basic set up as W, OOO and Fourze that aired right before it, but sticking to the "formula" even more rigidly than those shows, and focusing on motw that are no threat to the protagonist most of the time, so it depends on how much that bothers you. Ghost has a weak start and then handles some of the set up changes later on badly. Zi-O is also a really uneven show.Almost every Reiwa series feels controversial in comparison. Revice is generally considered the worst though. Starts well, but has a really big fall off that basically throws away many good points from the early set up. Then there's Saber to many people although many would defend it here (I'm actually part of this group), maybe Gotchard too, everything else is really variable.

It had very low budget suits though, due to changing the channel producing the show. Also, all previous Riders appear for the final arc, so it's generally not recommended as a first show.Black is a lot of people's entry point into Showa, or even the only Showa series they watched. It has a more consistent atmosphere, visually, and great action, but it starts with a very strong plot hook only to immediately put it aside for a long time, focusing on monster of the week, only this time the plots are clearly influenced by Sentai from the time (the monster generally has some power that causes effect on people and then the villains go on about how this will destroy society) while in previous shows most of the plots were monsters stealthily killing people, brainwashing, kidnapping scientists/relatives or bombings. Black RX is a direct sequel and has a weaker main premise, but spreads more multi-episode arcs throughout compared to Black. All past Riders appear in Rx eventually, but they're pointless plot-wise.

Just something that dawned on me today, Go was a really good character. I didn't like Drive all that much and felt like it was a pretty mid series, but the arc for Mach always pops up in my mind from time to time. How they introduced him as that happy go lucky, stylish archetype that always seems to be on top of every situation, and at first, he is. Fast forward a couple episodes and he starts failing. Normally this type of character would just brush it off, but suddenly we see the cracks in his ego. How he's so flashy to cover for an inferiority complex. Later his family drama is revealed further building as to why he's so desperate to be this thing that he simply isn't. He's just not all that competent and the show takes its time to whittle away at the way he was introduced. This all culminates with him just accepting how he is and doing the best he can with what he's got to save others and ends with a neat mish mash suit of his and Chase's with a really neat choreographed fight. Haven't watched Drive since it aired, but man, I think that character really saved it from being a by the books, heisei era rider but with cars.
