unless you live in EU thanks to the crossplay you can generally find matches in NA or Asia

active enough to get good matches on superstar and up, before that you need to farm the dumb bots on ranked. If you live on Asia it's actually pretty active.
Also the weekend bonus make it easier.

yeah, a lot F2P characters are high / mid-high tier (cherub, beta og, deucalion, sharp, freedo, aida), you can get character without pulling anything by completing the free battle pass.
the power crept isnt real, but there are obviously better characters than others.
Also a lot a of banner character work really nice only with 1 or 2 copies (tier 1).
