My first full paint job!I did a grey base coat then white over top to try and get that sorta edge highlitghing look, but you can't really see because I went overboard with making him look dirty and beat up. Vallejo wash FX goes far. I wanted to try every painting technique I was interested in so he's a weird mix.Also apparently alcohol reacts with acrylics, even when dried... Learned that the hard way trying to clean up some panel lines, you can see a bald spot on the back of the head. I didn't test on spoons for that because I just didn't think it would?Not sure what to use for panel lining over acrylics? Cant use alcohol to clean up the pen, and the tamiya enamel liner will wreck arcylic.My favorite part is the chrome silver behind the visor and for all the little worn edges and dings and scratches.

>>23911993It's pretty overdone but honestly I think a surprising amount of it looks pretty decent despite how heavy you went. The biggest problems are that you have some inconsistent texturing and a couple areas look like they have fingerprints on them. Also the red and yellow is too pristine overall compared to how mucked up the white is. It feels like a GM II that could have been at the edge of the nuclear blast that took out Jaburo in Zeta.I think the shield especially could use a lot more dirtying up to match the rest of it. You also should get more of the inner areas, like the insides of the shoulders and the side that touches the torso. Every bit of stark white stands out.The traditional advice would be to dial back all your weathering by a ton, but I kinda like what's going on here. You should incorporate different colours and be more measured in your applications though.
