Pointless observation to make, but Nakayoshi really does love drawing the Demon Queen (particularly her face), doesn't he? …ということで、前巻(第11巻)では魔王イデアが姿を消すことで決着を先延ばしにしたと思ったら、今巻(第12巻)ではレッド(浅垣灯悟)が姿を消すことで再び決着を先延ばしにしました……って、何故なら本当にレッドが負けてしまったのならば、その時点で物語は終了なワケですし、それがまた演出上のものであるならば完全なるハッピーエンドに必要不可欠であったか(例えばヒロインのイドラを不幸に追い貶めること)は疑問が残る点にて単なる引き延ばしであると判断せざるを得ません(あくまでも個人的な見解ですけど…)。まぁ、そんな(イドラの)悲劇的な内容もありまして今巻においては完全に“笑い”は皆無ということで、初巻の頃のようなノンストップギャグによる笑いの連続だった(戦隊モノをネタとしたある意味重厚な)内容が……いまや(絆絆絆とクサいほど執拗に)単なるバトル作品として随分と軽いものへと変わり果ててしまいました。これでは原作としての“戦隊愛”ともいうべき熱量が消え失せてしまったので、アニメ製作陣も2期への意欲が沸き立たないことでしょう。あと何巻で完結させるのかは商業的判断でしょうけど、熱血ヒーローがあれだけヒロインを悲しませておいてどのようなお為ごかしのハッピーエンド場面を見せてくれるのか気になるところです。Rather scathing review, though it does make me wonder how many share a similar opinion.

Next chapter drops in about 4 days, any predictions (aside from the obvious one of Red continuing to be dead)? Also as a reminder, due to how the tankobons are setup we are pretty much guaranteed to get a two parter that's "split" between this month and the next (and then another set for December and January) so we're probably getting 20 or so pages this month.

You finish it, and get excited(?) for the next volume to come out in six months (since that is the exact release schedule the series has settled on at this point); March comes and you read volume 13, and at the very end of the last chapter there (which will be the chapter that releases in January) he returns. For someone that has waited six months to see how these issues are dealt with, the overall greatest crisis is already over by the end of the next tankobon; basically right after it started (6 chapters in total, which is actually a tank and a half worth of content, but the average reader would probably think of it on a per tankobon basis) and would not have had room to "breath", or something like that. Meanwhile, if he doesn't come back until the end of volume 14, that's two (and a half) whole tanks in which you've seen them struggle on despite how hopeless the situation seems, which would help to greater "sell" the gravity of the situation up until that point to you. Now even with all that said, I really don't want that to end up being the case because if Red actually doesn't come back until July, that means he'll have been gone from the story for at least 11 "whole" chapters AKA 15 (or 16, depending on how you count it) IRL months straight, which sounds absolutely fucking disgusting and ridiculous.

So I came up with my own solution. I don't know whether my method is incredibly clever or incredibly stupid; all I care about is that it works for me every month. I can get the manga raws even a few hours before the printed version goes on sale (I have no idea whether a printed version even exists, but that's an irrelevant detail to me).For example, I got the raws for Chapter 56 at 02:00 Japan time on October 9. I simply typed "戦隊レッド異世界で冒険者になる" into Yandex's search engine (don't use Google, because you won't get good results). Look for the most relevant results from Rawfree or Mangaraw, then simply use AI to translate the pages into your own language. The AI I use is already well-trained to translate according to all my instructions. If it makes even the slightest mistake, I just edit it myself, and that's it. I save the entire chapter in my personal folders.I hope this method works for you too. Good luck!
