Just finished reading all of Getter Robo, this shit is great>Arc ends in a cliffhanger because Ishikawa fucking diedWell fuck, what else should I read now?
I know this is a thinly disguised request thread but I'm gonna answer anyways because I like to plug Dancouga Burn whenever I can. Read Dancouga Burn
My favorite /m/ manga is about an office lady.
>>23915912the one written by that hentai mangaka?
>>23915892You are a bit out of luck unless you know Nip. Still, let's see what we can do... Linebarrels is probably is one the stand outs. Great art and a competent. Might not be your cup of tea, but still worth the read. Break Blade is another mention, even if it does meander around. It has a good sense of weight, designs and i commend the author for taking such a daunting task, even if he ultimtately called it quits at the end. Mazinger Zero and it's sequel are a must read, more so if you are a go nagai nerd. Great tribute to the genre. Anything by Tsunashima is also a worthy read. Jinki Extend is fully translated (sort of) and both Winvourgas are up to date. Beware that the author has a rape fetish and he doesn't even try to hide it. Still doesn't take away he draws killer robots and sexy females. There are a couple of noteworthy Modern Isekai Sloppa, if you can stomach those. Knights and Magic manga is good because the artist is passionate about robots as much as the protagonist. Mobsekai has fairly solid characterization and the banter between Leon and Luxion is fun to read, although Leon can come across as a manchild at times. OreAku is by the same author and has a bigger focus on robots but with lesser characterization. Yuusha Shoutai is short and has very good art, a good time waster. Sentai red isekai is another isekai but it's not a wn adaptation and is overall a competent manga. School Shock is rule 63 Full Metal Panic and with insect androids instead of giant robots and chineseBokurano is weird because i don't see it as a traditional mecha manga. And there are some bits that stop me from calling it 'good' but i still regard it as a worthy read. FSS is another big one. Visual wise is very good and unique but idk, i don't care much for the plot or most of it's characters. Red Eyes is berserk with power armors. Hero Organization is an currently publishing story if you want shonen mecha.
>>23915892Otome Soukou Artemis
>>23915892 read rideback until chapter 7 and then start stroking your blade while lamenting the social realities
Anyone here read Hero Organization?
>>23915948thanks anon, Im gonna be checking these outI remember reading exaxxion back in the day and liking it, but it wasnt finished at the timeany JP-only standouts? might as well learn dekinai
>>23916481>learn dekinaiShut the fuck up retard.
read Blame!
Gundam
>>23915915Hentai/ecchi mangakas make the best mecha
>>23915948OreAku got a spin off with a stronger focus on mech action. In terms of Isekai slop, there's this series here, the title of which I don't remember and I was Sold at the Lowest Price in My Class, which has robots. The LN wasn't good, but there are a lot of robots and they fight frequently and the Manga's art is acceptable.>Red Eyes is berserk with power armors. Red Eyes has basically been cucking its readers ever since the author teased the BBEG's sekret speshul forces, IMO.A thing you didn't mention were the postapoc extraction shooter-type manga - Mechanical Buddyverse and Rebuild World, which are pretty decent.I really wished we'd get comic adaptions of more mainland asian stuff, in any case.
>>23915892Read some Yokoyama manga like Babel II, Mars, Giant Robo etc
Another thing you'll find out is that gundam has an extensive hold over the mecha manga scene. There's a rather large number of stories that go well over 10 vols. Thunderbolt has amazing mechanical design and is metal as fuck. The Origin has Yas pour his soul into every page. MSV Johnny Ridden evolves it's premise as it goes in, thanks to ark performance art. Rebellion tries to fix the mess that is Stardust Memory's plot (and has gorgeous art). Walpurgis is strange, almost fanfic-like, but has amazing designs.Boone mixes horror elements with mecha in a cool way.Despair is Toshiki Inoue remaking KR Faiz in gundam.Moon takes fucking Moon Moon from ZZ and makes it the central focus of a CCA prequel, paired with very unique mecha design and Fukui's writingAnd of course, Crossbone is it's own bizarro corner of the UC. However, while i recognize some of them to be fairly competent stories... Idk, there's something about most of them that just doesn't click with me. Maybe is the '1YW side story' or 'Retelling of an anime' fatigue. Still, if you like gundam, you'll probably find something you like.>>23919285>Mechanical Buddy UniverseHaven't read a whole lot, but is by Ishiyumi and what i checked seemed like a cool scifi romp. Puts some decent focus on mechanical design like androids, prothesis and actual robots.>Rebuild WorldI did check that one out but it didn't have a lot of mechanical designs in it, and didn't really care for the MC or his AI waifu so i didn't read much.>PicI too read Volcamion. I'm not sure how to feel about the cg robots, but the 'plot' sure is something
>>23919409Crossbone is a very good and fun Manga. The art seems shabby, but the artist is absolutely competent in comic storytelling and the mecha designs are fun, which is what should matter to the medium and genre.
Otome Game Mob manga adaptation is still going despite the change in artist.

There is the entire Hasegawa Yuuichi body of work that is not Crossbone Gundam, but sadly none of them are in english.
>>23915892Getter Robo Devolution. Mazinger Zero then Shin Mazinger vs Great General of Darkness
>>23927725Burn is.
>>23915948>(sort of)Care to elaborate?
>>23919409Speaking of Walpurgis and Moon, are they complete and fully translated? I remember at some point keeping an eye on Zeonic for the latter but it's been years since I forgot about it.
>>23926413Is world a better place if you can read moon runes?
>>23934568Jinki Extend, as in the series named like that is fully translated. Issue is that Extend is coming off the original jinki and jinki shinsetsu, and it leads to Jinki Extend Relation and those are not translated. So it's basically having a full chapter available in an incomplete saga. I'd say it's worth it because, again, Tsunashima is good at drawing robots and girls. But you might as well read winvourga instead since it's up to date anyway. Besides, Tsunashima has this weird habit of dropping things midway through and taking a lot of breaks.
>>23934573Moon is still being done by zeonic, up to volume 15 of 16. The manga is still in publication so it's just a matter of time until he drops more. Walpurgis is a bit more interesting because another random dropped a complete translation of it. I heard mixed things about it and that it's MTL but i'm not sure if that was true or just anons being autistic so it's up to you to decide if it's worth it.
>>23934764Are you referring to Spitelations for Walpurgis? If it's MTL, it seems to be at least proofread by a person because there are notes in the margins about the choice of name spelling.>>23934573From what I can tell, Zeonic dropped it after a couple of volumes and someone else finished it. See how the dialogue looks to you.
>>23934635For reading manga absolutely, especially now that digital distribution is widespread. Translations come with a plethora of compromises that you don't have to deal with.
