All of Kobayashi's designs have a particular strangeness to them.
>>
>>23919504

Wells' descriptions are so great:

"And not only did the Martians either not know of (which is incredible), or abstain from, the wheel, but in their apparatus singularly little use is made of the fixed pivot or relatively fixed pivot, with circular motions thereabout confined to one plane. Almost all the joints of the machinery present a complicated system of sliding parts moving over small but beautifully curved friction bearings. And while upon this matter of detail, it is remarkable that the long leverages of their machines are in most cases actuated by a sort of sham musculature of the disks in an elastic sheath; these disks become polarised and drawn closely and powerfully together when traversed by a current of electricity."

Same thing. He just removed the pillar thingy off Gampf because Kondo stole the design and made it canon. Shaian also seems like an unused concept art Gaza C.

Stop talking out of your ass. Dragon's Heaven predates Zeta by several years and that illustration is of Baund Doc III H, not concept art.
>>
>>23927652
It is Kobayashi's original take on standard Baund Doc, you fucking retard. It is not Baund Doc H

Kobayashi's Gampf design when he was 21 years old was very different. OVA Gampf resembles Baund Doc more than the silly rabbit it was in 1981. Sharper face and has a helmet's like head shape. The redesign was an influence from the time he worked on Zeta. The recolored Baund Doc artwork in Hyper Weapon 2013s >>23927566
more or less confirmed that it is a legally distincted Baund Doc.
>>
>>23927690
The little booklet that came with the Tama Factory 1/220 kit has illustrations of all the variants drawn by Kobayashi and Kondo, that one is the III H. The '87 summer issue of Hobby Japan Extra corroborates this. Again, not concept art. Dingus.

>>23927717
Okay? None of this disproves what I said.
>>
>>23927717
>legally distincted
Pretty sure you can't plagiarize yourself.
>>
>>23928328
You can because if you make a design for Gundam you don't really own it. It's all Bandai's/Sunrise's.
>>
>>23919447
>Sauce?
SD Gundam Force.
>>
>>23927566
Here is Kondo's Baund Doc
>>
>>23927566
That says GAMP F.
>>
>>23919494
its insane how impractical this design is:
>arms too short with tiny turn radius for gun aim
>vision ports aimed at the ground and sideways
>leg movement only allowing tiny steps
still kino, though
>>
There's a series of garage kits that were released at WF in the 00s that I've been on the hunt for. they were released by a guy who goes by SCYTHE. Really interesting designs. I love how they approach a humanoid form but with such an unconventional structure. They remind me a bit of fafners.
>>
>>23928328
Sunrise owns Baund Doc and probably the non canon concept arts too. Kobayashi had to redesign his Marasai and renamed it into Marler.
>>
>>23928018
That's Kobayashi's twitter account, anon. He said it is just a Baund Doc he drew for New Type magazine, not the B club's Baund Doc H

>>23929877
It's both. Kondo's illustration up above with the stahlhelm is the III F. He also did the Baund Doc II, the one with the fat ass.

>B club's Baund Doc H
ESL or just plain illiterate?

>>23929881
Original as in "my original take".

He didn't mention anything about that drawing being III H. Baund Doc III H has a more simplified torso and shorter propellant tanks. The surface details are different too.
>Kondo
Kobayashi will strangle Kondo to death if they ever met, let alone working with him on friendly terms.

The Jupiter Empire and their military designs shouldn't be one of them. Always liked how weird they were. Sometimes Crossbone takes it too far with the absurd design but sometimes they hit just right with surreal designs
