The thing is trying to convince hollywood bigwigs to let directors like Del toro have more creative freedom and funding. It's still a miracle Pacific Rim was even greenlighted, but cause it didn't make a billion dollars, there's still hesitancy. It's a shame Uprising had too much third party meddling, the original creative team not present, and too many changes that killed any "soul"
