Didn't notice live, even the dog died. Wow.
What did you like and dislike about the 44th episode?
>>23947041Clipshow 2/10Nemshow 7/10
>Blue roses traditionally signify mysticism or the achievement of the impossible. According to my Google-Fu.
>>23946996>Nem: Nox I need your help the whole world will end if you don't help>Nox: Not my fucking problem >evaporates
>Nox fading from existence>makes his last words vagueposting
so Zeztz is another forgotten Rider
>>23947062>>23947065Undisputed worst secondary in all of Reiwa. At least by this point Daiji got his shit together. It’s like the writers overestimated how cool Nox is, so they thought playing him as a “complicated” asshole character would work, when in the end that just makes him come across as a despicable human being.Sieg is a worse person, but they gave him more excuses to be awful>bad childhood>bizarre powers>experimented by CODE>fused with NightmareNone of it is enough to accept a killer like him as anything heroic, and the show is pathetic for trying it, but at least I can see how someone can describe him as complex. Nox’s whole deal is basic as fuck>CODE left me for dead in one mission>now I will kill anyone and destroy anything as long as I do so>got my ass beat by Zeztz so I will now just destroy anything and kill no one, but won’t care if anyone who’s not me diesHe’s not deep at all, just a spiteful little rat.
>>23947062>>23947065I still say you're full of shit, Nox. Oh, take that and stick it before you poof.
>>23947074Nox is the worst character in all of Reiwa, maybe the worst character in the entire franchise.
>>23947074Nox is arguably the worst secondary of all time. Even Brave is better just because he was at worst boring except for that time he went full retard for a bit.
>>23947082I wouldn’t go that far, but he definitely sucks and could very well be in top 10 worst of Reiwa
I like Nox and his unapologetic selfishness kek.
>>23947103I probably would too if the story didn’t pretend that’s a likable or interesting trait.
>>23947106Likeable? In-show? Of course not yeah he shouldn't be given that many chances but he technically didn't do anything post-premonition. He indirectly got Zero killed and destroyed Code. That's all he's done. And like Baku isn't even that close with Zero.Interesting trait? I think this doesn't matter in-story as they just want his assistance, they don't care that he's interesting or not. Irl? He's very interesting. It's funny how much he doesn't wanna help unless it suits him... And how now he just doesn't give a fuck about anything because he accomplished his goal.
>>23947110The problem is him being so uninterested also means he does basically nothing for a majority of the show. So you can’t even say he has a fun story because most of the time he just sulks around doing fuck all. Like he’s actively allergic on getting involved with any plot thats not destroying CODE. So he either acts in horrible ways that everyone around him looks over, or does nothing. I personally don’t find people who don’t give a fuck about anything and have a moody personality interesting, but you do you. I’d probably just merge Sieg and him into one character and have one selfish asshole with a fun personality instead of two ends of the psycho spectrum.
>>23947110>He indirectly got Zero killed and destroyed Code. The Lady being taken over by Phantom is also his fault. Dude is like half the reason why everything is currently going to shit, but nobody gives him shit about that, ever.>He's very interestingHe's as interesting as a rock, utterly insipid charisma void of a character that's just there to do whatever the plot needs at the moment, even if it means locking him in a constant back and forth where he rotates between being reasonable, just being there (in a bad way), and being completely retarded for no good reason.
>>23947099Top 10 worst of Reiwa? He's Top 10 worst of the franchise at minimum. There's only a select few characters that are so bad they bring a whole show down just because they're a part of it, and he's one of them.
>>23947136Who are those other select few characters in your perspective?
>>23947142Kyosuke Kiriya and Amatsu Gai come to mind.
>>23947115>I’d probably just merge Sieg and him into one characterDo that and make Minami the tertiary. That would've been so much more rewarding than where these characters currently are.
>>23947062>>23947065At this point I have to respect it. It's too deep into the series to half-ass the bit, so they're whole-assing it.
>>23947065Don't know if it'd be better or worse if he stops vagueposting just for the Nem's dream world episode/arc.
>>23947041Clip show episode, but it's at least setting up for the final few episodes. 5/10.
>>23947041>dislikeClip show episodes are almost always inherently lame unless they do something really clever with them, and this one doesn't meet that bar.>likeSieg's dialogue playing on his Rider name was a nice touch. His clipshow section was probably the best as far as giving it some thematic cohesion. The Lady was very good at playing up the creepy abusive mom vibes.
>>23947041Everything original was pretty good, even Nox this time because he was at least unintentionally funny instead of just annoying. But as a whole the episode is just OK due to being not only a recap but the second one in the show. Doesn't help that the first recap was way superior since they actually did something interesting with it and that it feels sort of arbitrary to have 2 recaps because2 shows ended during Zeztz's run.If the rumor that the first 3 Project R.E.D shows will last half a year too then it'll mean My-Th will have this 2-chapter recap too.
>>23947065jej
A lot of talk about Nox but I also believe The Lady is as culpable as he is for all this shit, and I don’t like the implication that she’s sympathetic just because she does all this for her “daughter”. I mean I guess that makes her a bit more likable than Nox, but possessed by Phantom or not she is actively choosing to make everyone disappear to create a fake world to entrap her daughter in. Bitch deserves to die too.
>>23947041Not bad for a recap. In Sieg's case it did help to punctuate his character. Nemu and Baku's parting was well done and kudos both their actors. I like to think Kami came in specifically to help bully the tears out them as always for peak crying scenes. It did frustrate me at first that Baku wasn't acting more emotively at what was happening but then I figured that he's processing as best as he can with fuck all info and prep time to work against it.>>23947055I knew immediately from having read Uma doujins.
>>23947352I agree but the issue that makes Nox more hateable is the fact all he really had to do was the bare minimal of fucking job and this could have been prevented.
>>23946996>>23947041It's (another) recap episode, so there isn't much to talk about this time around, but it at least serves as a fitting prelude for the final conflict.I did like the directing with the ethereal atmosphere they had throughout the whole episode, another good use of the dream theme. The premise of an episode that's done from Nem's perspective, where she meets up with each of the main Riders as the world crumbles around her is interesting, but I think the execution could've been better.First was Sieg's segment, and while I like that we got some insight on his motivations and end goal which proves he actually had a concrete plan and wasn't just winging it nor doing things simply for the lulz back when he was a villain, I can't help but feel like this was a character regression for him after the development he supposedly got in the last episode, as he pretty much went back to being an idle doomer who just welcomed the end of the world with open arms. Even Nem's attitude towards him regressed to a mild tsundere-ish disgust, when last week she was happy to see him regain his heart, tried to fist bump him, and even called HIM the tsundere. This dissonance would be somewhat understandable if this and last week's episode were written by different people, but they're actually both by the same writer. And I don't think it's a good idea to immediately point out how your freshly redeemed villain is basically at fault for fucking the world up while he acts like he finally got what he wanted all along and does nothing about it.(1/?)
>>23947549Nox's segment was unsurprisingly the most boring one, it didn't tell us anything we didn't know already nor did it have any interesting moments, we just had Nox acting like a faggot yet again by claiming that his responsibilities are over (no, they're fucking not) and that he can't do shit even if he wants to because the belt he planned to throw away anyways is broken (can't he at least go and look around for the Knight Invoker? Since they're facing the fucking end of the world, they'll need anything they can get their hands on). They're really REALLY dragging his redemption arc out, which I don't like. After seeing his sister vanish in front of him, Baku's segment starts out the same as his usual Nem comfort scenes, where he tells her that she shouldn't blame herself for what's happening and that her life matters because she makes him and others happy. The short scene where Baku sobs because he failed to save Nem was both well directed and acted, and the callback to the first episode where he hands her a rose is nice (I like how the flower motif and the use of their language has remained a consistent thing within this show). It's both funny and sad that the cops were basically an afterthought this week. And while the idea of Nem giving up and letting Oblivion take over her in the next episode to further power it up and motivate Baku to find a way to save her seems like it could be an obvious easy set up for the final conflict, I hope that's not what happens since we just came off an episode where Nem stood for herself and declared she wouldn't give in to her "destiny". That and her other recent showings are also why I hope Baku doesn't just come to rescue her in the nick of time next week and that she gets some agency over the ending of this whole situation.(2/2)
>>23947352The Lady's actions are more understandable and sympathetic because she's doing this for the beloved daughter she always longed for and we know she's gone completely insane due to Phantom's harassment and the merger she had with her. Nox isn't literally insane nor is he doing this to protect a loved one, he's just a huge middle-aged emo faggot, and The Lady going off the deep end with Phantom is basically his fault too since he refused to protect Nem which forced The Lady to finally sleep to go protect her herself.
>>23947281>it feels sort of arbitrary to have 2 recaps because2 shows ended during Zeztz's run.>If the rumor that the first 3 Project R.E.D shows will last half a year too then it'll mean My-Th will have this 2-chapter recap too.Gavv also had a recap at this point in the show, some people are speculating that it's because of the release of the summer movie rather than the end of Gavan Infinity, so Zeztz's mid-series recap might've been an "extra" non-obligatory one they made because of the dumb twist. Though it could also be a con of the new production schedule, we'll see when My-Th rolls around.
>>23947558>his responsibilities are over (no, they're fucking not)Reminder he started saying that two episodes after saying he was going to destroy Code: Somnia to remove all of Codes weapons.

>recap clips>showing the cringe I BELIEVE IN MY DREAM shit again
>>23947971>cringecringekino you mean?
>>23947971I busted out laughing when they showed that clip lmao. Best part was how it was being treated as a super sad moment.
>>23947352She hasn't slept in 20 years, The Lady hasn't been in her right mind for a very long time.
>>23947971I must be one of the few people who teared up at that. Sure, the delivery catches you off guard. However, for me, it's that Zero's faith in Baku is so strong that he can face death with a smile on his face. Remember how his doubts and fears about the Zeztz project created Dark Zeztz? In that moment, Zero was no longer afraid. He knew without a single doubt in his mind that Baku would save the day.
>>23947971I feel like the nips are lacking in the sense for campcringe compared to western entertainment. That enables them to make toku work but it makes them blind to why that particular moment went way too goofy.
>>23948157Jap and Chink fans also made fun of that moment.
>>23947971I think they did it on purpose for meme value.
I want to make The Lady into a real mom, if you catch my drift
>>23949613Calm down, Phantom.
