I have not watched Ideon, but I've heard this film be compared to EoE.Is it that good in /m/s opinion?

>>23947847Be invoked is only compared to EOE because both movies change the ending to their respective series. Other than that there's no specific comparison because many series have to do with rangarok.
The show is very dry and meandering. And Be Invoked is just a movie lenght episode of the show (the first third of the movie is a recap of the last two episodes) but since it's not on tv they can show kids getting killed and other unecessary stuff. I'd say most of it's value is in the historical context for the medium rather entertainment value. You'd probably get more out of watching Dunbine or Xabungle for a non-Gundam Tomino show.

Rewatching Ideon recently has been enlightening since I haven't seen it in 10+ years. Watch it if you want, but it is outright terrible in the beginning.
