Hypothetically, can Gavan Infinity work as a Sentai show if they don't use the Gavan name? As in a dimensional space police Sentai show where each members are from different universes.I keep reading that the Sentai formula is what hinder them to do some drastic change, but why don't they just change it like how Kuuga ditched the kaizo ningen aspect of Kamen Rider before him back then? I still think the real reason Project RED exist is because Toei finding a loophole of the Super Sentai/Power Rangers rights.

Some of wider audiences seem don't really like a full year show anymore, Ultraman having shorter amount of episodes is a combination of lesser budget and appealing to global audience.Also see how One Piece anime changing into 26 episodes season, not to mention a remake of the early stories with lesser amount of episodes on Netflix.

Maybe they could've changed it, the later Reiwa shows certainly tried tweaking the formula, but it's hard with so many decades of the same format. Kuuga was different because Rider was a dormant IP and it purposely set out to reinvent itself for the new millennium.Two things can be true at the same time. Maybe Project RED was made to get around the rights but it is a good excuse to not be beholden to any previous formula.
