Am I the only one that watched this show? It was fun and the character designs are so good, almost treading on modern gacha territory but 10 years ago.
Ionno looking at screens it seems like some guilty crown esque normie sagu.Sell me on it.
>>23972782>guilty crown esque normie saguWhatever that means.>Sell me on it5 people linked by a special bond each of them have with some weird alien things team up to form a giant robot and fight other teams of 5 people who are also linked to similar alien things, sometimes individually and sometimes as a team, but these alien things might turn out to be more than meets the eye. Also loli, milfs and lolibaba. Show makes good use of the CG, specially the environments, sometimes reminds me of Kill la Kill. Mecha design isn't great but the bubuki (individual parts that form the giant robots) are very charming.
I watched it. "Almost modern gacha" isn't a bad description, since it felt almost aggressively generic while not being really bad in any particular way, but also not standing out as particularly good. Nice enough designs, ok plot, amusing character interactions at times, and interesting idea for the setting, but the whole thing was kind of dull.I don't regret watching it, but I wouldn't rewatch it outside some particularly good scenes (first season finale with the island was cool).
>>23972858Thank you for expanding on my idea, this is exactly how I feel about it, although I'd say at first I thought the show was going to be very generic and dull but the pacing and the way everything unfolds after every episode made for a pleasant experience. Another positive is that the show (as far as I know) is not some multimedia project that continues in other unfinished format trying to make you buy shitty merch.
>>23972948Yeah, it certainly got better over time. I'm a sucker for a stealth train, so that helped.>Another positive is that the show (as far as I know) is not some multimedia project that continues in other unfinished format trying to make you buy shitty merch.Ugh, I hate that that's a thing we have to worry about, but you're absolutely right that it's nice to be free of it.
>>23972805>team up to form a giant robot>milvesNTA but you've convinced me
>>23972759Just finished marathoning this, it was alright but, particularly towards the end, wasn't this a better execution of evangelion's FAR lore?
