>>23984642Didn't the show bring this up already before?
>>23984622In concept I kinda like Nem sacrificing herself to save the world, but I knew they wouldn't stick with it and the preview already shows Oblivion is still alive, so all of this doesn't really mean anything. All it does is showcase the rider "trio" as horrible, incompetent idiots who needed luck to survive. There were many ways to tackle this premise and they pretty much chose the lamest one.
What are your praises and criticisms on the 48th episode?
>>23984670I wasn't expecting much but the Nox/Sieg teamup fight was still very underwhelming. (Personally I think ever since Sieg purified himself he should've gotten a suit upgrade but that's a me thing. Just doesn't feel right when he has a fiery transformation but the same suit) I feel like they have no idea what to do with these characters, which is a shame because I think Baku is a little bland himself at times. I did like the scenes with Nem, Sieg and Nox and I liked Baku's confrontation with The Lady, too. Oblivion disappearing was kinda satisfying although ultimately predictable. I hope this show doesn't end like Ryuki but who knows
>>23984712>Sieg purified himself he should've gotten a suit upgrade but that's a me thingSieg really being the only Reiwa Rider 3 who doesn't have a form change and upgrade thus far.
>Team up for the first time>Immediately job
>>23984642It's been brought up many, many times before. His sister's just showing even more concern as it fucks him up even more this ep.
my gary stu hero baku can't even save nem. he's failing at almost everything he does. and it's gonna be a bittersweet end where he does save her at the cost of life. he'll be a dream dweller forever instead of her.
>>23984622>>23984670Another meh episode in a meh final arc.Thought Sieg would fight Oblivion for a bit at the start but he just escaped with the heroes and went straight into one of his unfunny gags. The cops finally did something mildly useful by finding the location of Nox's dream, although I still think it could've been found through the Zeztz Room's ability, and they ultimately had to leave Nox's actual rescue to the more competent heroes. It's a moment that doesn't really make up for their overall uselessness throughout the entire show. They finally addressed the negative side effects Baku's suffering from directly, and revealed that he'll end up trapped in the dream world forever if he keeps up like this. I feel like he could've easily avoided using Exdream a few times in this arc, since he used to fall asleep really quickly in the first half, but whatever. Still, I felt bad for Minami when she confronted Baku about it, she's one of the few characters in the show I actually care about.I really can't stand Sieg, he never stops acting like a buffoon and constantly ruins the mood of dramatic/serious moments because of that. We got more of that "he wants to look like a bad guy, but is actually good deep down" schtick that I don't care about, Baku and Nem treating someone like him so nicely just feels so forced. Nem brought up how he just wanted to use Oblivion to punish himself in order to claim that he was just a sad boy instead of an irredeemable monster, but conveniently ignores the fact that he was selfishly gonna bring the rest of the world down with him by doing so. Their dicking around also dragged on for too long and wasted time that could've been better spent on actually meaningful or interesting character interactions.(1/?)
>>23984776I liked Baku's conversation with The Lady and how he proved to her that he was nothing like CODE, these two are some of the better characters in the show (even down to the acting) and I wish they could've gotten to interact more throughout it. That being said, I feel like the whole conflict with The Lady/Phantom has dragged on a bit too much, it should've concluded by this point but it looks like it's gonna get dragged to the next episode and potentially the final one too.Sieg and Nox finally had a proper interaction after God knows how long, and their hyped up team up ended up being a complete disappointment as Oblivion proceeded to wipe the floor with them in about a minute, Baku alone put up more of a fight than the both of them. I hope their next team up doesn't end with them jobbing just to prop Baku up again.(2/3)
>>23984785I knew that the heroes saving Nem from trying to sacrifice herself for the sake of the world was probably gonna be the show's final conflict, but I sorta wish it had been something else. With how many times Baku had given her pep talks about valuing her life and not putting her existence at blame for all the bad things that happen, as well as the moment where she stood up to both Sieg and Punish by claiming that neither she nor anybody else have to give in to their supposed "destiny", I wish she had moved on from that negative attitude already. It's starting to remind of Neon's repetitive "woe is me" antics. Also, the scene where she remembers how everyone made her happy would've probably hit harder if she had developed an actual relationship with the other characters not named Baku (and her having a flashback to one of the episodes from the first half doesn't make much sense considering those were events she never actually experienced). Well, at least she actually managed to do something this time around instead of getting cockblocked like in the last episode, although I'm not sure how well that's gonna work out since Oblivion's back next week. Also, looks like the rest of Baku's Capsems have been restored. Hope they use this as a chance to properly show off the side forms one last time and not just Physicam Impact again.(3/3)
>>23984757Yeah I guess we're going down the Ace route of becoming all powerful entity but in the world of dreams.
>>23984751>It's been brought up many, many times beforeIt's only been a thing since about 5 episodes ago.
I would be surprised if we have a monster as the final opponent two series in a row
>>23984825Since there hasn't been a leak for a last episode Rider it does seem to be the case.I guess it helps that they can't churn out as many PB items as before. Also considering how Arakawa usually structures his final villains I'd imagine My-Th's final boss will also be a kaijin despite the high rider quantity.
>Naruto BTFO's ZetsuMany such cases.
>>23984642Why couldn't he just sleep again?
>>23985320Baku can't go to sleep normally because Nox was already sleeping in his bed and that'd be gay
>>23984995For some reason I thought Oblivion was voiced by Shin-chan's VA, hadn't realized it was Naruto's
This shitshow can't end soon enough
>>23985344Saying it on every thread won't make things go quicker
>>23984790It's been a while. Ever since he did it outside of his home with Minami poiting out. Later when she said he was speaking English and so on.I was expecting that overusing ExDream would have a backlash.
>>23985462>It's been a while. Ever since he did it outside of his home with Minami poiting out. Later when she said he was speaking English and so on.That was literally 6 episodes ago. But I don't think him speaking more fluent English was supposed to be a side effect, just him consciously and truly becoming the Agent that Zero dreamed of in order to honor his memory, he was fully aware that he was in the real world at the time. Minami doesn't act like there was anything weird with that even when she later discusses the side effects with Nem, and she didn't even act like there was anything weird with Exdream's ability to travel between worlds until that episode either despite having seen it twice before.
>>239846707/10This is better than last week's. I like where we are now but hate that the final arc has felt so meandering. The meat of the plot resides in The Lady, the remaining gore nightmares and Nem. There's this weird juxtaposition with The Lady's/Phantom's love for Nem and creation of this problem. She's made the dreamworld and used Oblivion as this tool to help isolate and satiate Nem, and its backfired horribly with him running Nem's psyche into the ground. It's interesting. But it looks silly when she just lets Nox and the others go to stop him, like she just realized she's been trying to achieve conflicting goals. And it looks even sillier when she's in the preview for next week, supposedly alongside Oblivion again. I guess she's going berserk since Nem "erased" herself. And then The Lady's conversation with Baku was stellar. There's this tension that can be felt when Baku says there's no time for rest, and The Lady just shows up agreeing as someone familiar with not resting. That's good character writing. All of this stuff is good, it's everything with the rest of the characters outside of that core conflict that's really been dragging it down because the supporting writing is so weak. Sieg being the jokey psycopath is played out, Nox is Nox. I like the callback to being former CODE agents, but their teamup so far was underwhelming like others mentioned. The fight with Baku and Oblivion was alright, but kneecapped by Nem conveniently ending it. I want to believe the endgame will be fine and they were just spinning wheels to get to this point, because there's still substance there.
>>23984713He'll get one in his TTFC spin-off.
>>23985657Isn't likelier for the next V-Cinema to be like the last few where the main trio are the focus and despite only one of them getting an upgrade? I'd imagine Dawn will be the one to get an upgrade then.I feel it's likelier for either Five or Six to get TTFC single episode special kinda like the Punkjack one or the Lakia/Nyelv one.
>>23985674>Isn't likelier for the next V-Cinema to be like the last few where the main trio are the focus and despite only one of them getting an upgrade?Only Saber's and Geats's were like that. Gotchard's was very clearly a Valvarad one and Gavv's a Valen one despite not having their names in the title.
I liked that Oblivion PWN'd them with ease, Nox and Sieg have been getting too easy on their aura alone. And it makes him threatening as like the only one of the 4 Gore Nightmares.
>>23985330Too late for thatBut I was seriously asking, I forgot the explanation
>>23986221I think it’s just a speed thing. He can still go to sleep normally but every recent situation requires him to enter the dream world immediately. Baku can fall asleep quickly but he can’t do it on command so he has to use exdream.
>>23986344>he can’t do it on commandWhenever there was an emergency, he used to lay on his bed and fall asleep almost instantly.
>>23987348I was legitimately asking a question but my dumb ass didn't realize I was on the wrong episode thread, I'm sorryBut still am I seeing things here? >>23976299? Like I can see a faint glow on his arm and a circle shape as if the whole belt was chugged into his arm gap for some reason in this shot
Only 2 episodes left.
>>23984622A decent episode, but largely marred by all the railroading needing to get the plot going in the necessary direction. The interaction between Nem and Sieg, Nox and Sieg, and Baku and The Lady were highlights. Sieg playing hero while trying to play it off was fun, as well as trying to pull rank on Nox. I also enjoyed the little nuances in Phantom's characterization during Nox's "rescue", first speaking with her own voice but with The Lady's inflection when worn down, to The Lady taking over outright after being reasoned with. The best was Baku and The Lady coming to an understanding based on their mutual sacrifices for Nem's sake. Unfortunately, once again the episode took a nosedive once the fighting started. It's really frustrating how despite having seen Oblivion's abilities at work, everyone insists on rushing him and whacking him with their weapons just long enough for him to erase them. Nox and Sieg jobbing is expected at this point, but Baku making the same mistakes when he's fought him the most out of the trio is just bullshit. And not even trying to use his rewind despite the risks is also bullshit. Even a moment of Baku attempting to use it, deciding against it or suffering immediate backlash would've been better than him just uselessly flailing around. Nem's sacrifice was more frustrating than sad given the afforementioned railroading, as well as the earlier fakeouts in recent episodes, and the random flashback to the premonition was a little jarring. But I have to say, The Lady's raw scream as Nem left did get to me.Good to see we're finally getting a proper triple transformation next ep. Better late than never.>>23986374Wasn't he already shown to be having trouble getting to sleep a few episode earlier? I assume it's only gotten worse since then, but I'd appreciate clarification on that as well.
>>23987571>the episode took a nosedive once the fighting startedIt took a nosedive when Sieg turned serious moments such as the search for Nox and the revelation about Baku's incoming fate into unfunny jokes.
Don't really feel the final battle hype with how it's just flip flopping between Nem and everyone else disappearing for the past few episodes. Also Oblivion suddenly became a lot stronger than in the past episodes.
>>23987571>Wasn't he already shown to be having trouble getting to sleep a few episode earlier? I assume it's only gotten worse since then, but I'd appreciate clarification on that as well.He was only shown having trouble falling to sleep a few times throughout the show, with the last time being when he first tried to save Minami from the Cat Nightmare iirc, most other times he basically fell asleep on command. The first half also introduced a side effect of Zeztz's powers that has been pretty much ignored in the second one, which was an increase in Baku's drowsiness that helped him fall asleep whenever, at the cost of him ultimately falling into a sleep coma after he first used Catastrom (although he managed to get out of that after destroying his own dreamscape).
What a dogshit climax. Just bring back an overpowered evil rider final boss next time.
