Why does it only appear for 6 episodes isn't it just a better hi-zack, shouldn't it be replaced since it's introduction like the Dom did with the zakus?
>>23987198>Why does it only appear for 6 episodesconsider watching with your eyes opened, anon
>>23987198They just crammed too many new mobile suits into Zeta generallyLike how many different ace-use transformable Titans mobile armours do we need?>Gaplant>Gabthley>Messala>Hambrabi>Asshimar>both Psycho-GundamsThat's SEVEN specifically ace use transformible mobile armours, sure there are some differences especially with the psychos but I think you see my point. This show has too many different mecha considering how similar many of them are. Watching the show for the first time at some stage I just stopped bothering learning the names of all the new shit continually getting introduced.
>>23987271Forgot the Baund Doc so make it eight. Typical. If they halved the number of different mecha, the remainder would all get to shine a lot more. Did fucking Sarah really need her own unique mobile suit?
>>23987271Also the galbaldy. But my question was. If marasai is supposed to be the next general mass produced MS for the titans (since even jerid pilot one) why the hell did it stop appearing all of the sudden.

>>23987198It was originally built for the AEUG’s uses but was intercepted by the Titans and was given to them as an act of “goodwill” from Anaheim. It would see moderate production, but never enough for it to replace the heavily produced Hizacks. The real next generation step was going to be the Barzam, but that was pushed into full deployment far too late in the Gryps war to make a real difference. Almost every surviving Marsai ended up with Axis or Zeon remnants from Titan turncoats or just being captured.
>>23987289Was it ever explained why did it got limited mass production?
>>23987297The OYW was the only big war where anything got mass produced on a large scale quickly. Everything afterward is small potatoes, either in terms of numbers or speed, and sometimes even both. Anaheim has some factories, but they're still more like a sales dealership than a wartime industrial giant cranking out crap as fast as it can. Titans are buying up as many Marasais as they can, but truthfully Anaheim is also building just as many Rick Dias and Nemo for their enemies, as well as working on the top secret prototypes like the Zeta, ZZ, Hyaku series, MP Psyco Gundams, etc.
>>23987297it's literally mass produced, you see it thoughout the entire show?
>>23987273>Did fucking Sarah really need her own unique mobile suit?Almost as if the Mobile suits are used to tell story, made to say something about their pilot or the faction their in.Sarah is forced into and MS that doesn't fit her, showing how little Scirroco actually cares.
>>23987198>Why does it only appear for 6 episodesThis not true.>isn't it just a better hi-zackNo. It was a substantial step up from the Hizack. The Marasai was brand new in 0086, uses modern tech, and was basically the competitor to the Gundam Mark 2 and Nemo. The Hizack was already old by 0086 standards. The Hizack was made like 2 to 3 years earlier and was designed to easily defeat One Year War suits like the Gelgoog and Dom. They didn't want another Zeon uprising like the Delaz fleet again. The GM was too weak for that job. The Hizack was better than the GM and GM Custom from 0083. But it was weaker than Zeta era suits. The whole idea behind the Hizack was to invoke fear and beat up Zeon remnants. >Zeon pilot in an old Gelgoog tries to stir up trouble.>Hizack shows up>Zeon Pilot: Oh crap it's the Titans. I gotta run! *Tries to fly away*>Hizack easily chases and disables Gelgoog.>Shouldn't it be replaced since it's introduction like the Dom did with the zakus?First:The Marasai was a solid mid-tier machine for most of the Gryps war. If both pilots are skilled, it was able to fight the Gundam Mark 2 to a draw. Second:Later on it gets replaced by Barzam but the Barzam came way too late to change the fate of the Titans.
>>23987271It's like in ZZ where they just pull more ridiculous outfits and mobile shots out every ep
>>23987307Gaza Cs got deployed in absurd numbers
>>23988260idk, there were only about 300 Gaza C's produced overall
>>23987271Pretty much this. Because everybody on the Titans side kept upgrading their MS every few episodes, there was no real point in learning about any of them. I stopped giving a fuck what Jerid or Sarah or Reccoa were piloting because I knew that they would swap to something different within 5-10 episodes, so there was no point learning.
>>23987271 the design variety was nice. i hope there's more post-zeta material making use of them, the only-gm army is kind of a boring concept
>>23988260>Gaza Cs got deployed in absurd numbersthat's because they're super cheaply made, they pretty much are what you get if you do something in the vein of the Ball or Oggo(modifying a construction machine for combat purposes) but actually gave it some halfway decent weapons unlike those earlier attempts
>>23988260they had the benefit of being safely built on the Axis asteroid far out closer to mars than earth and they had time to build up a ton of them since it's Axis' first new model, it had probably been in the works for a few years since maybe 0085 which was also roughly when GM II and hizack were introduced
>>23987271The Gaplant and Psycho Gundams aren't ace-use TMA, they're experiemental newtype tech testbeds. And the Asshimar is an older mass produced TMA. We see that the Federation and Titans use them for regular forces around the Earth, like at Dakar. In universe it makes sense for a remilitarizing government to fund experimental new technology.
