Do people really complain about Leopard's hip joints? This is what most of modern HG can do, they are never gonna do a yoga anyway due to the side skirt.

People expect so much range of movement, lack of quick to engineer joints (ball and C clips), etc. Also not wanting ABS at all, as it can provide a lot of strength and works better as joint material than KPS.

The good smile stands do not have the joint separated from the tube, so you can tighten them very tight they don't crack. There are also larger stands called Di:stage, that you could fit together and has two sizes of ports all over it.

I sanded the left side too much that there's a clear gap you can see, no matter how tight I try to fit, the right side is fit tight and you can't see any gaps.Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've seen people get better results than I got but I got tired of fooling with it. If the part doesn't have much detail and you're just looking for a geometric shape it's gonna be just fine, but if you want an accurate recast of something with fine details it might be a struggle.

My LFMS had this 1/400 scale diorama set of Puck Harbor 1925, Poland on clearance for only €12,50 The supplied base plate was way bigger but I hacked it in a frame from our dollar store equivalent. It's not really suitable for mass producing in my opinion, given that you have to fill it with two part resin or similar material and leave for overnight due to curing time.But it's still pretty useful. When done correctly, it have quite good replication of surface details but any deeper elements like connection holes and the like most likely won't be copied properly. It's also vulnerable to deformation if you use too much material since molds you get are flexible, more so than what you fill them with - my copies are usually slightly bigger than originals, which often require corrections. Some people experimented with liquid materials but I honestly doubt it would work. It's still very useful skill and option to have.

I know there's some differences between painting gunpla and painting minis but after watching some of these tutorial videos I don't think I have ever been this actually triggered since seeing those prime92 videos a decade ago.
