Things like "Texan", "Californian" etc. are not the same as national identities like Ukrainian and the Baltic states. At least I think they would not develop that way even in the event of some kind of initial break from the Federal govt.I thino America is just going to keep getting more dysfunctional and internally divided for quite a long time before anything really drastic can happen, because most people are honestly not prepared to take a stand for anything.
