What's the point of having infantry in the mobile suits warfare?
Going into places that are too small for mobile suits.
Way way cheaper and can take over assets. Mobile suits are primarily anti-naval units, then secondly Mobile suit defense units. If you look at the history of the one-year war that's the entire point. There are still people involved and you always have to work with people so you need people with guns to point said guns at people to benefit your people. Make any sense?
>>24001793>What the point of having infantry in tank/jet warfare?Same reason we use em, igloo is a good showing of infantry vs ms. Because really infantry shooting anti-ms rockets and hurting cameras and whatnot would be VERY dangerous for the pilots. But this being anime removes some of the real dangers and follows our dear mc on the plot.
>>24001793>what's the point of having infantry in tank warfare?Mostly for urban warfare like in the Russo-Ukrainian war. If your enemies hide in small squads of 3-10 men in the buildings of an abandoned city, you're gonna have to find and clear them building by building. You could just ignore them and go attack the next city, but then they'll cut your supply lines and attack you from behind with shoulder-fired missile. War has never been more tedious than in the present.
