It's not as obvious what happened as it was with Kycilia in 0079, but once you do realise, it's even more brutal. They knew after all the shit Jerid survived, they had to leave absolutely no room for doubt.
The final boss of Granbelm got the Scirocco treatment, which is extra funny since the narrator for episode previews was Kamille's VA.
