I have to spoil a little bit of the setting, but in pic related, the protagonist is exploring a massive Dyson sphere(?) that seems to have been built around a black hole/something similarly extremely dense. Scale matters if you can justify it. In this case, a precursor civilization built it, so it makes sense to have it be an impossibly, ridiculously huge megastructure. The book is good too, not 10/10 change your life but solid.
>>24006048Rama book series is kind of like that. People happen on near moon size space colony absolutely deserted in space and they try to figure out the science by it. Lots of power heads are thinking they can use this to escape the solar system and many others think it's a trap. Very interesting.
