If it was more a puzzle(i.e., more parts to work on to give you a more accurate finished product) I think people would be more accepting, but it's more that they minimized costs and compromised the final product. It also cuts corners from the old Nu HGUC release that could've easily been reused for the sake of lowering costs. If the costs were that close, I think at it's laready high price point people would've been ok paying an extra 1000 yen to have complete feet instead of hollowed out ones. I really dislike how the anime portrays Xi Gundam as unstoppable and this Minovsky flight Engine as groundbreaking. It's not. Xi Gundam is an extremely basic mobile suit. Just 1 beam rifle, some missiles (that don't do much damage), 2 beam sabers, and a basic ass shield.The Minovsky Flight Engine was already used on Psycho Gundam and Psycho Gundam Mark 2. And MF Engine is just deadwight in space. Xi Gundam would still get its face stomped in by Psycho Gundams, mobile armors, and Neo Zeong. It has no defense against multiple beam weapons attacking from multiple directions or multiple beam sabers. Xi Gundam is basically an overweight RX-78 that can fly. Zeta Gundam is technically more impressive.
