The only VOTOMS media without Chirico that was actually watchable was Mellowlink.Don't think Oshii has it in him to break the streak of dogshit VOTOMS spinoffs, but at the very least it will have some quality to it unlike unsalvageable trash like Case Irvine
1- I prefer VOTOMS but I've seen more Oshii shit2- Ash is gonna be a fraud on some level, either because she usurped someone's identity, or because she uses some underhanded bullshit to survive each offensive.MC is gonna be come obsessed with Ash to the point where she begins imitating her, she's gonna become overconfident, bite off more than she can chew and it's gonna end up with someone getting betrayed. Either her, Ash, or one of her previous acquaintances. If MC doesn't get killed, Ash will die and MC will become the new Grey Witch.The Ash Vamps die all the time not just because all their missions are super dangerous but also because they're suicidally devoted to AshThe Martial Cult is behind it all, using the Ash Vamps as some kind of testing ground to see if they can find more natural PS like Chirico by throwing them into the meatgrinder.
I tried watching the original VOTOMS but kinda dropped it at the 'Nam arc, can I watch some other entries standalone or is the original show key to understanding the others?
