Did you guys know the puma sisters were also in Appleseed? Not just GITS. The diner waitress (or more accurately her granddaughter) is also in here. I could show you that if you're interested...
A glimpse into the damage she can do.
>>24015729That's not a Puma, dummy, it's a bioroid. The Pumas are robots.>The diner waitressAh, I knew I'd seen her somewhere before. You can show it if you want.
>>24015729iirc isn't there some weird thing where the Pumas might actually be mostly immortal and Orion, Domonion, Appleseed, and GitS were all planned to be in the same general setting over the course of thousands of years
>>24015769Yes, they are supposed to be in the same setting, Pandora and Shirow's artbooks provide most of the connective tissue. Dominion Conflict would be the outlier since it explicitly takes place in an alternate universe. The problem is that the timeline keeps shifting and getting retconned, so it never became a clean unified story despite Shirow's best efforts. There's another issue, which is that Shirow loves recycling character designs and shoehorning little cameos that make no sense, which makes it even harder to figure out what we're supposed to take as objective canon and what's just a joke. That being said, the girl in OP's pic is not a Puma at all.
>>24015729A mangaka using their characters and designs across other works is hardly surprising. Go Nagai does it all the time
