Very fun episode. I really like Otosumi's overall demeanor of being nonchalant yet not coming off as pretentious. His energy is similar to the likes of Sento which is pretty great. It'll be fun to see how he interacts with the Zodiacs, it's kind of nice how he isn't super crazy about them. Still, hopefully he isn't always the one to be in the spotlight since that's where Zeztz kind of suffered.I like Datt as well, she's kind of hilarious. The gap moe potential she has is very notable.

I wish we would've gotten to see the 3 leads interact more throughout the episode instead of having them split up fairly early on, some of their subtler expressions such as Sora and Tatsuomi's somber looks when the former confesses his situation is not quite what the latter makes it out to be or Yuna and Sora's quiet exchanges to avoid outing their secret fight against the Fukashigi in front of civilians were pretty good, I think these characters shine the most through their interactions with each other. Yuna may be very naïve and book dumb, but she's pretty smart when it comes to protecting people from the Fukashigi, and I like that she has enough of a backbone to pay some of Sora's meanness back to him and keep him in check. I'm not sure if Sora is genuinely wary of Tatsuomi and considers him suspicious, or if he's just jealous of him and wants to drive him away for his own safety. Tatsuomi tried his hardest to put on his little spy act but he's too much of a dork to completely pull it off, and we also got some implications that he's a rookie in the Alliance. Overall, I liked the comedy in this episode, especially the cheese jokes, but the few delayed reaction gags went on a bit too long to really land for me.(1/?)

The Alliance members seem to believe that My-Th Origin was killed/destroyed in his battle against Maou 100 years ago, but this could've very well been a lie on Kamuri's part since he and the leader he usurped were the only people present there and we didn't see the outcome of that fight. The members have also already been informed about the new My-Th, Kei can't keep his calm over the news while Tigre seems to be the most open to potentially cooperate with him because he saves people like they do. Mutn finally got some lines in this episode, she seems to be fairly serious levelheaded while awake, and I found it funny and cute when Kei got excited about her finally waking up only for him to end up frustrated when she immediately goes back to sleep.Datt was humanized and fleshed out a bit more in this episode, we see her surprise at how much the city changed 100 years later and we also got to see a bit of her cute side with her little smile over the gyarus' admiration of her and her attempts to keep up with the times by constantly spouting their modern slang, even though she used it wrong because she didn't quite understand it. Her henshin pose is both goofy (because of the little bunny hop at the start) and sassy (which is the vibe of her mannerism after the jump), which is likely meant to reflect the two sides of her personality. I liked her banter with Sora throughout their silly little race/fight, she's definitely a competitive person, but I expected her to have more of a reaction when she came across the new My-Th for the first time. I also just realized that her fixation with time and her pocket watch are probably a reference to the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, which is neat.(2/?)

I was also surprised to see that Sora already has some copies of the Alliance's Ride X-Eggs in his possession, I wonder if they're obtained from some special kind of Fukashigi or if they're manufactured in some way, I guess it might be related to the backstory of his modified My-Th Driver.We also learned that Sora and Yuna's parents are conveniently dead as is common with Rider leads, it seems like they died around the time of the mysterious incident in which Sora gained his belt, so both events might be related. It also seems like Sora is largely clueless about the powers he has as well as the Alliance, and despite being presented as highly competent, it doesn't seem like he keeps important household documents very well-guarded, which was very convenient for Tatsuomi and his mission.Despite the winged monster from the first episode looking like a normal beast-like kaijin, in this episode it's implied that the Fukashigi have some kind of truly supernatural powers as we see the old man that was eaten and mimicked by this week's monster being beamed up back to his shop as soon as it was defeated. They also established that the Fukashigi are evolving and seem to be getting stronger.(3/?)

Even so, I really liked how My-Th used his tail to hang from the stairs as well as the creative ways in which he used the turtle shield and the environment to fight. Unfortunately, and despite being the first time we get to properly see an Alliance member in action, Datt's Rider form didn't have a very good showing as she got thorougly upstaged by My-Th and his Turtle Frame after being overwhelmed in combat by the Fukashigi, only nabbing a pity win by stealing some of the Seed X-Eggs he got at the end. The fact that she got completely blindsided by the evolving Fukashigi like that doesn't bode well for the rest of the Alliance (especially Tigre, who has already raised some death flags by being sympathetic towards My-Th), as it implies they may not be well prepared and/or strong enough to take on this new breed.The mysterious hobo just walking into the room and getting straight into a casual conversation with Sora was a really odd way to introduce a character that seems to be pretty important to the plot. He handed Sora a Seed X-Egg, so he's seemingly able to combat the Fukashigi, and he also seems to know more about the Alliance than our protagonist does. It also seems like Sora is using the Seed X-Eggs to keep Yuna alive or something like that, and this might also be related to their childhood incident.So it looks like Yuna doesn't need to say an specific line to authorize Sora's transformations, but she also doesn't seem to be psychically aware of when he needs to detransform, which is something that may cause problems for him later down the line.The next episode looks like it could be better than this and the previous one, but it seems like the issue of rushing through things won't be quite over just yet.(4/4)

I also don't know what you mean by Rintaro changing his deal about Touma off-screen, he wanted Touma to give up his Seiken and Book out of concern for his safety but then he was told by Sophia to bring him in to join the Sword of Logos, it was as simple as that and it happened all on screen.
