Really great and best episode so far, wasn't expecting so much out of suit action from a Tasaki episode, Tigre is more likeable than I was expecting, his friendliness isn't annoying.
I liked that this is a 2-parter so that we can see Sora fail.

So far the only aspect of the show I don't like is that Sora already starts with all of his forms, I would have rather see him getting to obtain Turtle and Wolf.

This show already has much better focus on the side characters compared to Zeztz and Gavv. That alone is an amazing sign, sasuga Arakawa.
I liked that Otosumi is clearly very closed off and aloof to everything, even when it comes to saving others. Yuna calling him out for fucking up not saving Shiori's dad really highlights their differences in what heroism means to them. Really looking forward to see the inevitable clashes they're both going to have with each other.
Tigre was a pure bro, very likeable character. His dynamic with Asao was very natural and it's neat seeing the Zodiac faction get proper characterization. Again: the focus on the side cast so far is shaping up to be very strong, but I think that's what everyone expected because of the writer.

If they plan to introduce everybody, why is nobody shocked about Kamen Rider or how the technology works? Everything will be explained or brought up in later episodes. Too many characters and not enough effort balancing the cast. Why introduce some of these characters if their toys aren't even on the horizon? There's already like 9 Riders who have toys/belts to flesh out plus a paltry supporting cast who are likely going to henshin down the line anyways. I'm not sure if you're confusing me with somebody else or if you completely misunderstood my point, but that was not my complaint at all. I don't want them to explain everything from the get go, that would just make things even more rushed, I actually wish they would've taken their time introducing all these characters and plot points more gradually instead of doing this many rapid-fire reveals so the first two episodes wouldn't have felt so saturated and they could've had more time to focus on their strengths. The second episode especially suffered from this because it led to Datt having an underwhelming debut and the 3 leads not having that many interactions even though they're pretty good.

Not really, an episode by itself can be saturated with too many plot set-ups and reveals, leading to it not feeling as organic as it could be and not giving important aspects of it some room to breathe. For example, Saber's beginning set up a lot of elements for the overarching plot but nobody denies it felt rushed. So no, having a lot of plot to go through doesn't justify doing things this way.

I think Christmas deaths have mind broken people, Tigre is probably not going to die as soon as people think. Jyao and Ryuz are likelier since they share a suit actor with Maou and Ryuz is tied to an upgrade item to be used by everyone. Also Jyao and Mutn while they aren't retools they're still so far are the only suits to share molds with someone else, in this case with Rid and Datt respectively.

Yeah since unlike the rest we don't know if he's getting a physical suit, for all we know the shadow shown is just a concept art. That said I doubt it I do think he'll be getting a suit but he'll either temporarily die or he'll have some sort of limiter to have him transform very rarely kinda like Abare Black, they already hinted at that on the TTFC mini-series by saying his mask keeps him from going berserk.

Wasn't able to comment on the previous thread since I watched the episode late, so far every episode has been better than the last for me. Not the best start but still really solid and promising. I'm still surprised with how much personality they've been able to insert on each character on such a short amount of time, somehow every character stands out so far despite nor having formal Rider debuts yet and we being 3 episodes in, all while not feeling cluttered imo. Usually when a show start and they have big casts they feel awkward due to needing to introduce so much setup for the show to start, most recent example I can think of is Gavan Infinity but My-Th doesn't feel like that at all. I guess it's due to the worldview being simpler and its parts being presented as mysteries that will be unveiled as the show goes on instead being expository heavy early on, it also helps that the show is focusing more on the main trio over everyone else, instead of 3 teams unlike Gavan. But then again King-Ohger which is also recent was able to introduce 5 countries in a way that felt even more natural than both and I don't how to explain what it did particularly better than the other two other than it just "felt better".

I was expecting the Fukashigi to feel like pushovers kinda like the Inves but they're far stronger than I imagined, I feel mixed about this since this means the Zodiac Riders won't debut at their A-game but at the same time they should lent themselves better for action. This episode is a good example of the dynamic done right since Rid a whole episode worth of build up and his defeat didn't make him feel weak, all while the eye Fukashigi has interesting powers, the episode prior is an example of the dynamic being done poorly since it brings into question just how long has it been since the Zodiac woke up and made it so that the episode couldn't make much use of Datt action-wise. The timeline of when the Zodiac woke up is confusing since clearly it hasn't been than long since they're still barely getting used to the modern era and they've just made contact with Sora, yet they also established that they've defeated some evolved Fukashigi of the modern era in the first episode. While the detail in this episode that the alliance is actually bigger than we thought with lesser servants that don't transform and aren't allowed at the base is pretty cool from a world-building standpoint, it makes it more confusing as to how the hibernation worked and whether or not they've left some of these members to not hibernate in order to guide them into the modern age. You'd they they would have left some and it would make sense since they're not THAT culture-shocked, but that would bring it into question as to why they didn't find anything about Sora and Akira. I'm sure the hibernation is being setup as a mystery but I really hope they answer the "when" and "how many" at least soon so that the organization doesn't feel as murky as it does now.

Aside from what I said on the prior paragraph I like both so far, the animosity between the zodiac members is funny and I'm glad they acknowledged Datt's incompetence since it could lead to an arc. Tigre's big brother energy is endearing, Mutn being really respected despite being lazy is fitting due to the role of the sheep in the legend and makes me excited for when she eventually acts, Kei already going into zoomer mode is also funny and they already seem to be setting up stuff with Jyao's obsession with Kamuri, Ende seemingly being more trusted by Kamuri by Kamuri than others, also Ryuz's authority and the bit revealed on the extra eps about his mask keeping his emotions from going berserk. So far Vanken is the only one that hasn't left much of an impression. The way the Fukashigi pick targets with specific traits reminds me of the Grongi a bit, so far my theory of what their targets mean is that they're trying to destabilize humanity or keeping them from evolving, the first one was specifically targeting couples, now it's targeting engineers, however I don't know where to fit the fang one. With all the talk of space time on the marketing they might be a situation akin to the Imagin where they're trying to prevent a specific future from happening, only this time they seem less sentient and instead seem like creatures that were given rudimentary orders.

Akira is weird since he seems to also be from the Taisho era but he clearly has been awake for more years than the Zodiac, so he's either immortal or went to hibernation with a different method, since he was able to take out so many kaijins by himself I imagine he's a rider, the issue with that is that the marketing implied that aside from Black My-Th none of the other main zodiac riders have deflected and that the obligatory Q2 Rider usually mandates a new cast member to be introduced so he might be something else. Another mystery present is who was the 4th person to die on the crash where Yuna's parents died assuming it was a Fukashigi attack, I doubt they'll do a "Yuna is actually dead" plotline like Kabuto since she's going to school just fine so she probably doesn't have a death certificate, but all of this make me question how the previous My-Ths before Sora worked since from the dead scene Yuna's dad seems to have been the one before him, so since they don't have buckles does that mean they also had an equivalent to Yuna as limiter like Sora does?
Aside from the heavy CGI on ep 1 and Datt's jumps the action has been really strong, the out of suit action this episode caught me off-guard specially with how it managed to keep Fujita's environmental bits, the finishers have also been quite a highlight so far, Turtle frame is my favorite right now since I found its use of the shield extremely creative but maybe it's based on something I'm not cultured enough to know. The extra eps despite their talk show nature feel like a step up from the Minami specials, for one they're longer but also I find them significantly funnier, the details they reveal so far also actually add to the show such as giving more insight on Sora's day to day life with Yuna, the way the zodiacs see each other and what my-th of the zodiac Takebe decided to based the show on, definitely a pleasant surprise.

Other thing I forgot to mention I liked the exchange between Yuna and Sora at the end a lot since it showcased how their relationship lends itself well for emotional writing whole feeling natural. I also liked the way Rid fought against both My-Th and the eye Fukashigi simultaneously, I saw the RAW for the transformation lesson and while I don't have full context since it hasn't been subbed this episode and that special give me hope that their fighting dynamic will stay that way, hopefully that ends up being the case for at least the first half. I don't like how Sora start with his main alt forms from the get-go, my cynical self can't helf but feel they did this so that they don't have to make physical suits for the Fukashigi that drop said eggs since given how stingy they've been with monster budget that they'll just recolor the same 6 Fukashigi suits since they're actually full suits this time instead of the whole shared legs deal that's been the norm as of late.
