>>24024789Dekaranger is extremely different from most Sentai though, the show gets 3 suits made each case (motw, cheap suit, robo) in order to do a proper cop drama, it isn't like Kuuga where it's cops fighting serial killers nor is it like Timeranger and LuPat where the criminal is always the motw, instead you get a structure where any of the people in the 3 suits can be the criminal or at times all of the above so the cast has to do more detective work than usual. On top of that it's the only season without a proper villain organization, with instead every case being random criminals with their own goal where the only connecting factor is that they use the same arms dealer.With Gokaiger it's a crossover toku where they actually managed to get 1 cast member from each season prior all while having the main team be a cast of high personality tsunderes, that said the villain org is indeed standard there. But again like I said most Kamen Rider seasons are experimental anyway, situations like Skyrider and Gotchard where they're actively trying to be as safe as possible are actually rare here, and even then the production messes in those two make them stand out in a way.My point is Arakawa nor Takebe take things safe and that has nothing to do with the threads being slow.

>>24024895Yeah, basically Toei made the extra effort to have Gavv start filming way earlier than usual, now even though shows don't have to start filming halfway through the previous' one's production like Gavv did that still means that they film around the previous' one's last quarter's filming, which is much earlier now thanks to Gavv doing that early start due to the whole China deal.There's no logistical reason for them to film late again like before unless they need to allocate a show's budget into something else or if they want to give the staff members a big break.

Skyrider on the other hand got a retool in the 20s and went from a reboot of the original show to some kind of pseudo-anniversary series where each of the past leads started showing up, got involved in the plot and became recurring helpers, and it worked out in the show's favor.

(included in the Kamen Rider Amazon volume compilation) which had Shocker reimagined as a secret society tied to freemasonry and had an android in a suit as the "Shocker Boss".
