Two or three of you might remember Synduality EoA, Bamco's ill fated attempt at a PvPvE mecha extraction shooter with P2W elements and microtransactions that completely floppedNot surprisingly, they've announced that after a year and a half it has an end of service date and is transitioning into a fully offline gamehttps://synduality-ada.bn-ent.net/#info_offline
Finally that 2 bucks may finally be worth something. maybe the game will finally even be playable.
>>24029929So WHY did /m/ let this masterpiece fail? The only thing you consumer class nerds are good for is supporting value generating ip . And you fucking idiots couldn’t even do That. Go play gundam like the losers you are
>>24030085>masterpiece
>>24030085>So WHY did /m/ let this masterpiece fail?Because most of /m/ was turned off by the game being "Tarkov but with mecha".
The anime was decent. The game was trash.
>>24030085I don’t play video games.
>>24030085You think the 20 people on /m/ could save some multi million dollar video game?
From the outside, most of its flaws seemed to be around the cruddy multiplayer. It might be a much better game without it so long as they don't just crudely shut off anything online related.
Nice it's being completely taken down at least.>>24030288It's Scamco, I expect the bare minimum effort.
>>24030296*not
>>24030288>as they don't just crudely shut off anything online related. The director has said that raids won't be available in an offline form, which potentially means that some end game frame parts won't be acquirable
>>24030205This, I'd have been down with it if it were some Xenoblade Chronicles X-alike or some shit where you build your mechs, Synduality as a series had some pretty neat ideas after all, I just give no fucks at all about extraction shooters.
>>24030264Obviously, that's why A.I. companies totally want to steal our very valuable data.
Are they still gonna finish that Ciel swimsuit figure?
>>24030085Extraction shooters are lame, even if you can customize a cute chick and drive around a robot trashcan. Should have made a proper single player game first and foremost and maybe slapped a multiplayer side mode on instead of falling for live service memes.
>Walking toilet as mecha, designed by Gyobu>No one cared about the anime when it was aired>Brought nothing new to the mecha genre since it looked like every random cgi mecha slop in the last 20 yearsI'm surprised that this shit lasted that long.
>>24030085I want to build fun mechs; not forced to use shitty parts just to not get ganked. Also, while I didn't waste them, others with the special bonus parts lost theirs when they got ganked, and no easy way to get them back.
Maybe it'll be a fun game now that you won't come across some random asshole with a sniper rifle that'll one shot your trashcan no matter where it hits.
>>24031687The anime was well liked though.
Huh, maybe I'll install the game now then. I bought the standard version when it was like 2 bucks like a year ago.
Just got it off Humble Bundle for $4. I'm looking forward to the offline PVE update. I wanted to buy it on release but reviews turned me off. I will be back to discuss it in May.
>>24032323>>24033166I feel like extraction shooter mechanics are demonstrably poison to most games that aren't tarkov when you see that even selling for 2 bucks wasn't enough to get people to play it. The threat of getting sniped and losing progress is so obviously negative that it's not even worth 2 dollars. The game being almost free generated less buzz for it than it going offline.
>>24032323>>24033166>>24030288it's basically pve already, i played some recently and hardly ever encountered other playersthe big problem is the endgame area with the best loot is pve-only (can't hurt other players) so the enemy density/difficulty is tuned for cooperationdoing runs in this area is grueling on your own and mostly consists of kiting and avoiding fightsmaybe they will tweak it, but idk
>>24030085honestly I was only barely aware of it through seeing the kits and assumed it was some gacha game bullshit so I never paid it much mind.I liked ARC Raiders for a while and I like nuMarathon so had I known it was an extraction I would've given it a shot sooner. I'm going to do as >>24033166 anon did and pick it up on humble bundle to at least give it a try.
>>24029929>Not surprisingly, they've announced that after a year and a half it has an end of service date and is transitioning into a fully offline gameGood, maybe then it'll be playable.
>>24029929What does the campaign of this game look like?
>>24035723Gameplay's the same, but instead of collecting AO crystals (the mineral needed to be traded for what you need for food, clothing, and a roof on your head), your Magus (the robot supporter of this franchise) has to scan for surveilance logs, and you're to collect them. The surveillance logs hodl information that pertain to why Amasia was destroyed. If you watched Synduality: Noir, Amasia was this underground city-state created after the Tears of the New Moon, a catastrophe where the substance Blueschist destroyed civilization. Amasia's destruction in 2222 is a mystery to those who fled because a century after Amasia's founding, people living there had enough of the authoritarianism and fled to the surface, where it wasn't as bad as the Tears of the New Moon (provided there's no Blueschist rain showers) and made domed cities like Rock Town.
>>24035793Meant "The surveillance logs hold information that pertain to why Amasia was destroyed".
