Gundam Extreme Vs is finally playable on shadps4 emulator. Do with this information what you will
>>24033305like sub-30 crap barely playable or is it actually smooth?
Aren't people already emulating EXVS2?What's the point of this?
>>24033337Seems like 60 fps to me, without drops
>>24033305how about GUNDAM VERSUS? I already have EXVS2 and at least that'll be more unique stuff
>>24033351I assume it's easier to set up and start playing, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it since it's not native and there's no multiplayer
>>24033351GSB exists too. Whats the point
>>24033351Not readily accessible like Extreme VS PS4, or at least I can't find Infinite Boost. I found Overboost.
why aren't they porting these over to console/pc yet
>>24035623It's literally carrying the arcade industry on its back
>>24035623Full Boost console was murdering profits when Maxi Boost arcade fucking sucked on launch and they haven't made that mistake sinceif we ever get a new release it'll be at least two games behind arcades
>>24035639And it will never be on PC because they know people will just mod in the new units They are already doing it to EXVS 1
>>24033305>shadps4I don't even wanna fucking know
Why the fuck does Bandai refuse to put the Extreme Vs games on PCI don't want the create-a-mecha breakers bullshit or whatever those games are>>24035639>>24035635>>24035647Why do they care about the arcade profits if it'd be more profitable on console/pc?
>>24035623>>24037398>Why do they care about the arcade profits if it'd be more profitable on console/pc?It wouldn't be more profitable. It's the opposite. That's the point. It's the same reason they don't put Dance Dance Revolution on consoles or any any other platforms anymore (last one was on PS2). Selling a $25,000 dollar arcade machine to arcades is significantly more profitable for Konami than selling a $60 dollar copy of a game for a console. Arcades aren't going to make the same mistake they did in the 1990s and 2000s where they did dual releases of games on arcade and consoles at the same time. That just made people buy the cheaper console version (but graphically inferior) and they stayed on home. They stopped visiting the arcade, it nearly destroyed the Arcade industry. So it's never happening again.Modern day arcade games usually stay exclusive to arcades. And the few that do get ported to consoles are usually done many years after the arcade release to give arcades exclusivity.
>>24033305I'm playing IB though
>>24033305I've played these VS games for many years. They all feel the same. Arena fights, lots of side stepping to dodge, and learning rote memorization to execute combos. If you played one versus game, then you played them all. It honestly doesn't feel like it carries the spirit of Gundam.
>>24033305Thanks
>>24037478the fact that you even played it for years means they've drained you for all the money they could
>moon dwellers still doesnt bootits not fucking fair bros....
>>24037471>It wouldn't be more profitable. It's the opposite.I'm not sure I believe that. Sure, they can profit off the machines and people needing to put change in for each session, but you'd also be selling the game to a much larger market by putting it on consoles and PCsI guess it might math out to stay in the arcade machine's favor just because Gundam specifically sn't a gigantic franchise outside of Japan? On the flip side Pokemon is, which might explain why Pokken got a console port fairly quickly after the arcade releaseIn any case they could give it a western PC release and region block it in Japan, they do that with other licensed titles sometimes
where do I download PS4 games?
>>24037502>western PC release and region block it in Japan,Region locking a fighter is never a good Idea, when it comes to Bamco and EVXS, they got two options,A.) Choose arcade or console and commit, which is what they are doing now. If they decide to move to console they'll have to slow down and let go of Arcade front, to really put a lot of effort to make up that loss, by working on a shit ton of game modes and side content to keep console games. Like the shit they do for Xenoverse and what they could have actually did with Breakers turning that into literally Build fighters at home. Option B.) Is that that take the gacha route If they dip out on arcade for a home release approach. Problem they can no longer really get the first exposure buff needed to carry that approach, because not only do people overseas no about and have been known about EXVS, but on top of that they were already beaten to the punch by and even smaller company with a clone of their own that's began cornering the nin arcade market.
>>24037502>I'm not sure I believe thatWell that's the truth. You don't have to believe it and it's not idle speculation. It's well known within the arcade industry. Not just Konami, but also why many other gaming companies want their games to be arcade exclusives.>but you'd also be selling the game to a much larger market by putting it on consoles The profit margins are too low. Console sales are way down compared late 2000s/2010s.I'll use DDR as an example again. One single DDR machine sells for $25,000. Konami would sell between 1 or 5 units to per arcade in the USA, Europe, and Asia combined. Thats 50 to 100 million dollars in sales.Plus continued revenue from leasing contracts and/or revenue sharing contracts.>and PCs Heh. They know most of you would pirate it. They aren't naive. Bandai doesn't want you running hacked versions of the game on your PC or running private servers with friends. It's why these arcade cabinets and arcade games are locked down with physical security keys. They want you to physically go to an arcade and spend money. Especially if you go to a Namco arcade. Bandai owns Namco. But even if you go to another arcade, Bandai still makes money. They sign what's called "revenue sharing" agreements with other arcade. These agreements basically state that the arcade agrees to give Bandai a portion (like 40% to 50%) of the profits from each Gundam machine each month. If the arcade refuses, then Bandai won't allow them to buy the Gundam machine. Arcades have no choice because Gundam is so popular that they agree to deal.
>>24037535Tldr; it's literally all Bandai's fault, just like every other bad thing that's happened to Namco recently.
They released EXVS to consoles like three times, and even made an exclusive new version just for PS4, but nobody apparently bought them.Japs just kept going to arcades because they are used to the controls and that's where their friends and the scene are, and foreigners just don't give a fuck about Gundam enough to get over the "anime arena fighter" stigma of the already small and niche fighting game scene.Just get the PS4 one and be happy, or emulate the arcade version and deal with it
>>24037544I'm still made Bandai forced SDGO to shut down despite the game being profitable and active. They just didn't want to share profits with the Korean game studio that made the gundam game.
>>24037545>but nobody apparently bought them.People bought them, but the issue is that not only was there no marketing what so ever, In the case of VERSUS and especially MBON, people were under the assumption that we'd get EXVS2 just like a edition or two behind from latest iteration, or at least suits ported into MBON retroactively as DLC. But Bamco only gave use MBON as it came, with just Build strike, Zaku amazing, and Barbatos Lupus and then they just called it a day. That was it.
>>24037535>>and PCs >Heh. They know most of you would pirate it. They aren't naive.they would be naive to still believe this, considering SRW 30 and Crossrays shat on their retard faces and made them accept PC releases as a real thing now
>>24037569They get shat on literally everytime they release a Gundam game, console or Pc and it does way better than they except, they never learn the lesson though, they still think the west just doesn't care about Gundam.
>>24037569Gundam VS series is Bandai's huge money maker. It's their golden goose. They aren't going to risk it with a PC release that will spread the game everywhere. It's already an issue with arcade emulators low key emulating modern games that are still in arcades. And YouTubers pretending this isn't an issue.
Why are there two Chall?
>>24037569>SRW 30 and CrossraysThese aren't Gundam VS games. They aren't the big money makers. These are side stuff. Scraps that they give to PC users because giving it to PC users won't affect sales on other platforms.
>>24038043You could argue about SRW but there's no world where G Generation isn't a series that makes them money.>Scraps that they giveIs also wrong, SRW 30 went on steam to gauge interest, their expectations blew up and that's why the very next game was international release friendly.Crossrays was in a similar place and the success of that game is more than likely why Eternal(which brings in HUGE money right now) had a simul release global ver as well.Calling them 'scraps' implies there's any Gundam releases that aren't released on PC, there aren't any besides the arcade games.EXVS can and will make money outside of arcades, what you folk don't realize is that they're primarily keeping the arcades themselves happy because EXVS is the only thing keeping a lot of them afloat and even that doesn't stop some locations from being shut down
>>24038082>EXVS can and will make money outside of arcadesYou just don't get it. The massive bulk of the money comes from arcades from the VS games. Bandai gets big benefits from arcades. They get:1. Money2. Continuous money each month from revenue sales agreements. 3. CONTROL of the platform via the arcade hardware and Bandai Namco's online management software that all arcade owners must connect to.#3 is the most important to Bandai. They want control AND money. Not just money. Bandai doesn't get that with steam.
zovoyo
why do people conveniently forget EXVS already has a separate version in China that has been out for years now?
>>24038099Where do you think all the leaked roms come from? There's a reason countries outside Japan get staggered game releases much later. Bandai wants to get the money first before it leaks and someone builds a knockoff cabinet with a bootleg copy of the game.
>>24038133I was more talking about the mobile game
>>24038099>>24038136Is that the super battle shit? I saw someone streaming it the other night and it looked okay actually. How predatory is it?
>>24038435I got no idea but its a chinese gacha game so its probably designed to drain your money in some way.I have seen that it has a pretty impressive roster though
>>24038493Hold on lemme find that stream in my history im pretty sure it was Korean. We talking the same game?
>>24038518Yeah, it has a korean version
>>24038493>>24038518>>24038523This game? https://www.youtube.com/live/dCFLcKZCw-o?t=1272&si=CkiL2K1f1fhC5WOF
>>24038525yes
>>24038528That’s not half as jank as I expected then. Thanks will actually check it out
>>24038525What game is this??
>>24033305What about Gundam Breaker 3 Break Edition?
>>24035635But arcades are dying anyway
>>24042020Ah yes, because industries are known to just roll over and commit seppuku at the first sign of trouble
>>24037471>Selling a $25,000 dollar arcade machine to arcades is significantly more profitable for Konami than selling a $60 dollar copy of a game for a console.from what I understand they don't do that anymore eitherit's the usual Konami giving no fucks about anything and letting it rotiirc even NAOKI dipped and went independent
>>24042104>from what I understand they don't do that anymore eitherThey still release DDR cabinets. One just came out this year. Still makes them money. Don't know about the Naoki stuff though. I thought he just got sick of the corporate culture wanted freedom.
>>24037839The SR one is post-GN cancer.
>>24038087So the Japanese Arcade scene needs to die before they stop releasing so much bullshit specifically for it.
>>24042121neatI'd heard they were literally dead like most other Konami IP
>>24043002Nah. Arcades are peak. Consoles are boring. Without arcades existing, then VS would have never been made. It was originally designed for the competitive arcade scene.
While that's cool, I'm just enjoying playing the leaked Infinite Boost 2 on private servers. I get my shit rocked because I don't know how the fuck to play, but it's fun. If you're ever doing random matches, I'm Sonichu and I'm usually attempting Master Gundam
>>24043522Just play GSB you hipster fuck
>>24044090I didn't even know that was a thing!!! Thank you
>>24033305Huh, works fine. But every bgm just plays the crossbone theme and then if I install the update it just swaps the bgm every second
>>24033305Cool.
https://files.catbox.moe/hj80gy.mp4
>>24033305but i can already play Full Boost with all the NPC/Boss suits fully playable, why should i play this? i'm also confused, which version even are you talking about? wasn't MBON the only one released on ps4?
>>24047294Said mod is ported from MBON,it was forced into older engines that were reaching it's limit
>>24037549>SDGOIt deserved to die.
>>24047538but SDGO is still alive
Tried this! Works surprisingly well. Thanks for telling me, OP
>>24047474so you can play as all the NPC/Boss suits in MBON using this emulator? because if not, i see no reason to stop playing full booster RPCS3, which can do that.
