>>24051856It was an okay episode, though I felt it was on the weaker side.That info dump about the X-Eggs and the Fukashigi at the start was so short and concise that I genuinely have no idea why the show chose to be so vague about them in the previous episodes, all the drip-feeding they did just felt like pointless clutter if they were really planning to just give us a straight answer this soon anyways. This new info sort of explains why the Fukashigi keep evolving (a plotline that I think shouldn't have been highlighted until now for the sake of the pacing) since their power source was literally meant to evolve living creatures, and I guess Yuna and Kamuri are also going through some kind of evolution as a result of their Seed X-Eggs consumption. Also, the theory that aliens were behind all of this is starting to gain more traction now.Kamuri's such an openly bad boss that I just don't see how Jyao can remain fully loyal to him in the future, hopefully he grows a spine out of resentment instead of simply going back to his "Kamuri-sama" antics after this whole ordeal.This week's episode was more comedy-centric, some of the jokes did land for me (like the little girl catching Tatsuomi and Mutn "in the act") while some others didn't (like the whole gag of Mutn beating up everyone on her path because she was mad). It seems like Sora's unknowingly starting to catch on to the fact that Tatsuomi's not from this era. Also, looks they just set up Yuna's friend and her brother as foils to our lead duo, I wonder if they'll end up becoming more relevant later on.(1/?)

Seems like he also wants to prevent the Alliance from learning too much about the modern My-Th, possibly because Kamuri's been eyeing it up as part of his own mystery plan. Tigre's starting to catch on to Kamuri's shady antics too, which only raises even more death flags for him, though he's seemingly not dying so soon.The way they handled this week's Fukashigi case wasn't nearly as elaborate as the previous 2 arcs (probably because this monster only lasted 1 episode), Sora just had to realize that the weird salaryman was the Fukashigi's diguise (apparently the use of human disguises is a signature trait of the Fang-type Fukashigi) and then check social media sites to track it down.(2/3)
>>24057607Mutn ended up being way more childish than I initially thought, and is unfortunately another one of those Riders that just makes the Alliance look like they suck at their job as the protectors of humanity, since she straight up ignored the Fukashigi in order to punish My-Th for stealing her beloved Vanken's Egg. Sora revealing that he was perfectly willing to give the X-Eggs back just made this whole conflict feel very forced and made the awkward cut at the end of Eagle Frame's debut look even worse because it seems like they deliberately ignored any reactions Jyao and Vanken could've had during the aftermath (such as asking for the Egg back) just so this conflict could happen. Mutn throwing the Egg back at Sora was also a bit dumb, but I get that she's supposed to be blinded by her rage and indignation. Also, I thought My-Th's forms would end up being counters to each of the Alliance Riders, but Wolf Frame ultimately couldn't do much against Mutn (and the fact that it needs the moon to be at full power seems like a pretty bad downside now that I think of it).Kamuri finally stepping into the battlefield came with an appropiately impactful scene (RIP salaryman), but I feel like this was a weird spot to shove Maou's debut into, even if they did build up his intention to check on My-Th in the previous episode. I assume that his ability to power up his Ride X-Eggs 1 into its En version has something to do with whatever process he's undergoing by consuming Seed X-Eggs.The action was solid, the hits of Mutn's hammer looked like they had a good weight to them and I liked the rolling transformation.(3/3)
