Not really. One shot boss that's immediately overshadowed by Saint Dragon in the same stage. The way they handle the overall scenario is good though (including doing a fully voiced sequence when they go beyond the series' cliffhanger), but Bug itself ends up sidelined.

Really thought they might introduce another Bug copy or something, to make it a recurring enemy, but, nope, it's in one stage where it's not even the actual boss.

Nope. After the cliffhanger you have two separate battles against Saint Dragon and then they also involve ~~Getter Emperor with the Godzilla plot near the ending but without an actual battle.~~
