>>24063922It's not really a subject that you need to do deep research on; the reality is simply that Bandai was asleep at the wheel in terms of Sentai toy design since Ninninger at the very least, and they could not be bothered to wake the fuck up and put out toys that people would actually want to buy. Anything else that anyone claims is 100% bullshit just being spouted so that they don't essentially end up pointing the finger at and publicly shaming Bandai.

There are other factors like producer setup structure that Toei's been going for since 1995 being bad for training new producers despite initially being a net positive for the shows' quality, the shift in management in 2014 making executives more trigger happy when it comes to giving demotions, Ninninger's failure causing executives to overcorrect, writer Kobayashi soft retiring from the industry, newbie producers not wanting to pick Arakawa because they thought his high status would make it difficult for him to return as head writer, the guy from Bandai of America that went rogue allowing not only for the Power Rangers deal to be done under unfavorable conditions for them but also for them to not get royalties since Hasbro took over the Power Rangers line, the Power Rangers deal not allowing them to make mixed media stuff like they do with Rider plus complicating their subs situation, Sentai going on uninterrupted for 48 years unlike literally every other tokusatsu franchise which gave the impression that the franchise would never die regardless, general Toei president Yoshimura requesting a global expansion from most divisions which was a complicated issue with Sentai since the Power Rangers deal directly prevents them from doing that and executives Shirakura and Tsukada wanting to create more toku IPs than Rider and Sentai.But all of those are secondary to Bandai not making good enough toys for Super Sentai leading to 11 years in a row of financial failure, all the other reasons don't matter as much as you'd think since Rider has been able to be a nonstop financial success ever since 2007 while having most of thr same deficiencies, although the producer situation has affected the quality of the shows.

Since 2014 we've had 6 demotions, it's why you see a bunch of new producers getting transferred into the toku division as of late since they just don't have enough producers since all of these demotions happened close to each other in just 12 years.
