If you ignored the big fuck-off tower the changelings get in the late seasons, what do (You) think the badlands are like? Are changelings desert dwellers? Do they live in something similar to an ant colony?

>If you ignored the big fuck-off tower
i like the way they made the hive look lel
>what do (You) think the badlands are like?
well typically they are harsh awful places to live, at least in more desert examples experiencing both ends of the spectrum
(i.e. super hot summers and super chilly winters)
not to mention the terrain is by nature eroded and really shitty to traverse (unless youre naturally able to fly like a changeling)
>Are changelings desert dwellers?
i would say yes, given what was said above they are perfectly adapted to the harsh environment their hive is situated in
moreover the adaptation of their species eating love as a main source of energy makes even more sense given the extremely poor distribution of plants and animals to predate in their immediate surroundings

it should also be said that if the badlands are their natural habitat that their ancestors were more than likely intelligent enough to have developed their hive complex as a way to combat their dry environment and the effects that would have on their buggy bodies
possibly as a short term alternative to evolving tougher more acclimatized anatomy over hundreds of thousands of years
>Do they live in something similar to an ant colony?
given what we have seen, yes
with chambers presumably specifically for hatching and another (at the climax of the to where and back again two parter) specifically for the queen to reside
both not too dissimilar to chambers in an actual ant colony
