I have read some stuff about player redention in this thread and i'm going to be honest i've only stopped playing because respawn isn't instant in this game. I want to do dumb shit and then do it again asap. The backtracking is already bad enough with these slow movespeed classes. On the other hand... I donIt think i'd ever come back. I've been having a blast playing other games like counter strike and arena shooters. CS doesn't have respawns per match, of course, but the rounds end too quickly for that to matter. I've also been more interested about exploring other class shooters. Splash damage games like quakewars and wolfenstein enemy territory seem to still have dedicated players. There used to be a guy who played frequently but would always join with different names/avatars and never say a word. He would usually play medic but never heal, just spray needles around aimlessly for hours on end. Any other oldfags might be able to think of who I am talking about. Always the same loadouts but never the same username or avatar at least not for long, and never anything pony related either. I always wondered what that guys deal was. I feel like if you are going to join a community server but never actually partake in the community but rather basically just troll despite nobody even noticing for dozens if not hundreds of hours feels bizarrely anti social, especially doing so in a niche interest space that you don't even seem to have interest in the niche of.
