And a lot of her later season episodes are pretty mid/bad. Daring Doubt is one of the worst episodes in the entire show, and it's mostly because of Fluttershy iirc.

Fluttershy changes very little throughout the series though, and it's all bad, and it starts way back in Season 3 when she gives Discord a free pass for being a shit, leading eventually to more and more disastrous consequences. Later Fluttershy comes off as a willful gullible fool because she's the mouthpiece for the idiotic authors' poorly considered ideas about inclusiveness. By contrast, Applejack is used to act as the "wrong" stubborn reactionary, so naturally that just makes me want to agree with her.

I'm pretty sure those were the same pony, at least. It feels so ass backwards. This episodes moral was stupid anyway, so maybe I shouldn't be expecting the pony's reactions to things to make sense.
