Season 8 over all is not good, but would recommend the best gift ever special still. Season 9 isn't as bad, but it's best is maybe on par with weak episodes from earlier seasons. The weird al episode is somehow boring, which is disappointing after pinky pride. The last episode feels bad. You can choose to watch it and you might still find some amusement. Rainbow road trip is also probably better than most of season 9. I think I mostly enjoyed episodes where it's the mane 6 doing things not being held back by school shit since they dumped that shit on glimmer in the last season. Some eqg movies are better than this shit
