What happened to Fingerbang?The Humanized thread was created when the various humanized threads (including Fingerbang) on /mlp/ decided to merge. The rest is history. Quite literally as of now.

It's not wrong, in and of itself, to acknowledge there can be more to EQG storiesIn the end, so what?Sure I could point out that at present Power Chord and Alanamous defy that but would that convince him?No idea.Now the execution of his post was, well, bad.It takes a lot of motivation to write these stories.ANY discouragement should be avoided!It's entirely possible to make positive suggestions like story seeds.Or, crazy thought but bear with me, write the stories you want to read!I mean, it's probably a mistake to take after me. I'm NUTS writing multi-month projects with a dozen characters.But darn if I don't still enjoy reading them.Start as slow and simple as you need to and trust that you'll grow from there.Some not strictly waifu story seeds:Ponyville suffers some kind of disaster and it's residents have to evacuate through the portal for lack of better options.A walk through the county fair.Or here's an advanced idea.Write a story from Filthy Rich's POV showing how, despite no one understanding, he gives advice and makes deals that improve Canterlot.
