Will ponies ever rule the internet again like they did 20 years ago?
>20 years agoPonies were not ruling the internet in 2006, cats were.
>>43301835IT HASN’T ACTUALLY BEEN 20 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never say that again!!!!!!!!! Even when it HAS been 20 years, your question will be irrelevant, because THEY STILL RULE THE INTERNET TO ME, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!
>>43301835There is no internet anymore, this wasteland of algorithms and corporations is just a facade. Ponies are eternal and will outlive even this nightmare prison
>>43301837This is correct
>>43301835I'm sorry to break it to you Anon but it's actually been 30 years
>>43302336It's really been 60 years. Also, you currently live in a nursing home.
Isn't 4chan the last place where you can still see the "internet", outside of any algorithm cage?
>>43302372yes, unfortunately. The internet is dead. We had a good run lads, thanks for sticking around
>>43302372No, there's Tor hidden services, too, but y'all ain't ready for that. Stick to your curated experience.
>>43302372I cringed quite a bit when I read your post. No, 4chan isn't the last bastion of the old internet. There’s plenty of alt chans (old and new) available where you can have a very human discussion about topics. Not to mention that 4chan is pretty run down as is. Most of the popular boards: /b/, /pol/, /co/, /a/, etc. are cesspools swimming with bots and feds. Like >>43302492 mentioned, you can use tor, but that's typically for discussion of drugs and 'other' stuff. There's still an abundance of image boards you can use on the surface web that get a fair bit of attention. I won't spoonfeed you too much, so here are some popular ones you might be interested in: mlpol, wizardchan, lainchan, 8ch(_)an.moe Remember to lurk moar so you don't look like such a newfag next time.>>43302378pic related
>>43302513>mlpol, wizardchan, lainchan, 8ch(_)an.moe>"popular"nobody fucking uses these don't lie lmao
>>43302526Nobody uses /mlp/ anymore either. We're at an all time low.
>>43302336You're still thinking it's the 2010s.At this point it's been *43* years since Twilight became Queen.Fluttershy's gonna turn 70 in 2027.
>>43302526If your criterion for whether or not a site is useful is "other people use it", stick to Facebook.
>>43302526Welcome to 'old internet' my friend.
>>43301835https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RSDCIt9PgQHorseshoes!
>>43302541He probably thinks there's some secret cabal of oldfags that have all retreated to the darkweb to hang out with each other and escape normies. Honestly, I wish he was right.
>>43301835Internet and th6r world is gayer than you guys were at your "peak" so, no. But you guys paved the way of faggotry and autism normalization.
>>43302526>wizardchanFucking joke, they'd tell you "go back to 4chad".
>>43302687You aren't in?
>>43302687
>>43301835Nope. The 2010s were the beginning of the end for the internet. Nothing like that will ever happen again.
>>43302736No, I don't use Discord.
>>43302529The Empire endures.
>>43302529>that decline since last Annioof
>>43302529I honestly don't mind how close knit things have become. It's comfy. I think there are enough people that will just flat out be here forever to keep things going.>>43301835We're in a pony renaissance at the moment. There were a ton of cultural factors that made ponies as explosive as they were back when, such as the shock value of grown men liking them and internet culture being very fond of memes that were just easily spreadable quotes and stuff at the time. I think it's possible; there's a level of cynicism and negativity in the world at the moment that mirrors a lot of how people felt in the 2000's after 9/11 affected culture as much as it did. People would need to associate ponies with kindness and healing and friendship, and thus as a rebellion against cynicism and division. I think they already do to some extent - or at least see it as a refuge from it - and that's likely one part of why it's taking off again. A lot of "comfy" things are seeing increased popularity for similar reasons, like Animal Crossing and Sanrio and such too. I dunno if it'll be as big as it was back when, but the pony revival still feels like it's on the upswing. I think if G6 is unexpectedly amazing, the nostalgia and wide cultural reach of the G4 cast in it is going to cause something huge. I see a lot of people giving it a shot and it generating buzz regardless just because of nostalgia and cultural relevance alone; they're playing it safe by relying on G4 nostalgia and it could easily be like Pokemon redefining itself as a Gen 1 nostalgia cash cow in Gen 6 and starting to break record profits.
>>43302824>he doesn't know
>>43302882Oh just fuck off Pinkieflaggot with your goddamn forced trying to feel happy about everything. The board is dead and no that's not a good thing, if you weren't a newfag you'd miss what this board used to be too.
>>43302934>>43302934Stop being such a faggot, Anon, and SMILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile that the 15-year old fandom, older than some kids who are now grown and smoking weed and being 15 year olds, is still chugging along and has cemented itself as a permanent part of the cultural zeitgeist. This kind of doomer shit is exactly how pony dies. A whimpering limpcocked extinguishing of a roaring flame by people who just want it to be over already so they can be "right". Post horses or leave.
>>43302948Kill yourself.
>>43302952Live your best life!
>>43302948
>>43302882It's weird that you say that when you know ponies caused 9/11.
I have positivity fatigue
>>43301835>20 yearsDoctor, his IQ levels... It's in the negatives!
>>43302948I agree. Stop being such demoralizers
>>43302987Elaborate.
>>43302998What part of that is baffling to you? I have positivity fatigue.
>>43302987>>43302998>>43303002Can't they aim you at some other board
>>43303005>WAAAAH STOP MAKING POSTS I DON'T LIKE!
>>43303002People ask each other to be more verbose for more than one reason. In this particular case I'm doing it because I want you to be a human rather than a catchphrase-regurgitating pokemon.
>>43302987Fake positivity, agreed.
>>43303012I said everything that needs to be said. I'm not typing a 500 word essay to explains a 4 word sentence
>>43302529Most of the decline in recent years is due to the new cocksucking captcha and IP rangebans. Remember how easy it used to be to shitpost? Ain't nobody got time to jump through the hoops nowadays and it's only going to get way worse. I imagine in the near future, bots will be so unstoppable that the only solution to keep them at bay is to force everyone to make accounts tied to legitimate ID or payment. And when that inevitably falls apart, it will be the last gasping breath of the internet.
>>43303019I pay for a passu because I don't want to see this site die. I understand the ethos is that you shouldn't need to, and it should be easy, but idk nonny, if they're struggling financially to keep the site afloat, they'll just pull the plug eventually. They clearly don't care anymore. It's up to us.
horse
>>43302987>>43303002>>43303011>Trolling is not allowed outside of /b/
>>43303019>Most of the decline in recent years is due to the new cocksucking captcha and IP rangebans.blame the pedoproxy allowing for easy ban evasions that the 4chan dev desuwa is chasing the fake dream that you can block proxies and millions of residential IPs
>>43303022Considering that it took me like ten minutes of captchas to verify my email for the hundredth time to post the post you replied to, while yours took two minutes, I might be close to giving in.
>>43303022I wouldn't give a single shit if this place died.
>>43303028Okay crybaby.
>>43303028They don't care about that now, but for some reason they get really poojeeted if you call something a slide thread.
>>43303015It's not even your sentence. You found it like a chewed bubblegum on the roadside, shook off the dirt and pine needles and put it in your mouth. And why does it have to be an essay? Why not poetry? How difficult can it be to rhyme your grievances?
>>43303022>They clearly don't care anymoreWhich is why they shouldn't be given anything. Put in the bare minimum amount of effort and you may receive my precious shekels.
>>43303042>shekelsgriffon claws typed this post
>>43303039Hang yourself, from a shelf.
>>43303042They've been enshittifying the site ever since moot called it quits and these cucks still happily send them their money. Truly baffling.
>>433030424chan exodus would be one of the worst events in internet history because we'd all divide into various groups and servers and websites and be culturally absorbed by those who take us in. Alternatively, the 'board culture' could survive in a way, but it'd be far and few between, a million worlds all separated a billion miles apart.
>>43303039I've said everything that needs to be said. I don't owe you an essay, a rhyme or a limerick.
>>43303050NHNB still exists but I don’t know how much traffic it’ll get, same with that other poni image board with /mlpol/.The sad truth is that Mare Fair will survive since they’ve pretty much cut themselves off from 4ch entirely (they use a private dicksword for organization even though I hate dicksword)
>>43303055For the longest time, I thought NHNB stood for 'No Hooves, No Bucket.' What a missed opportunity.
>>43303055If we needed any more evidence it's an offboardercon.
>>43303051>debt framing out of nowhereOkay, I don't know how to interact with that.
>>43303059It’s the closest we’ve got adjacent to 4ch culture, the rest are equally miserable and infested with insufferable drama chasing furfags and power chasing trannies and while some aspects about marefair could be better (as in announcing shit on the board first before xitter, etc), they still let us maintain our board culture to some degree at the convention, and regularly use popular board artists in their advertising and design(s).
>>43303055>cut themselves off from 4ch entirely And yet they still spam shill threads here.
>>43303078I don't care, I don't go to cons and never will. Mare Fair is meaningless to me.
>>43303078Mare Fair should just fuck off from the board entirely. It adds nothing but retarded eceleb drama.
>>43303019the new captcha is literally an IQ test which is based, and it's 100x faster than the googleslop "click 50 grainy images of bicycles" captcha
>>43303090"Find the image that contains this symbol" is hardly an IQ test.
>>43303095And yet people still have trouble with it
>>43303095It's a low bar, but you'd be surprised how many ""people"" complain that it's too difficult
>>43303099Because they're lazy and don't look closely enough, not because it vexes any gray matter.
>>43303090>basedWhat the fuck with this forced meme from 2015 being all over the board today? If you take requests, brings back longcats next time.
>>43303103Just go back to where you came from, we're not interested in hearing you talk about much you like to abuse dogs.
>>43303082>>43303083>>43303088>mom I samefagged!
>>43303106Nice try faggot
>>43303105Not the doggo anon, but zoo is a respected internet tradition. Deal with it. BTW he's funnier than you.
>>43301835The internet no longer exists
>>43303095>
>>43303136Bait. Both middle and last have the T-joint.
>>433031360 doesn't equal 26, but in the case of the captcha you can literally just choose either slide with the t shape and still pass.I've gotten very quick at the captchas, it isn't hard to do and the site constantly gives me ez ones w/o a pass, so I guess I'm lucky.
>>43303148I always just get one where I have to pick a different shape from just 3 images. That's only on phone though.
>>43303173>That's only on phone though. You're really just saying things, huh
>>43303178No, phone users get easier captchas. Yes it's retarded, but that's nu-4chan.
>>43303181I get that captcha regularly and I'm on PC, it also only gives me one of them. I think the only time they make them easier is if you are posting often
>>43303185You're probably using Chrome then.
>>43303187NTA but I get that on my PC on Firefox, like right now. On my laptop, however, I have to do the other retarded captcha. I'm guessing the difference lay in browser history, like other captchas.
>>43302934>your goddamn forced trying to feel happy about everythingCan't, because it's not forced, it's real, sadly. :D>>43302948EXTREMELY BASED. Indeed, I shitpost about pony to my non-pony friendsand they all find it hilarious. It's been cemented in place as that funny and endearing thing from years ago that made everyone shit themselves in anger, and so much of the internet is very welcoming to ponyposting as a result. It's very fun. Just enough anti-bronies around for it to be a pleasant surprise when one inevitably wants to kill you on a rare occasion, too, kek. Shit's been awesome lately.
>>43302987Not really exactly aimed at you, just talking in general - I always felt like the "I have x fatigue" posts were more indicative of the posters inability to handle something moreso than of something actually being super bad. Like, I'm a generally happy guy and I never dealt with this "fatigue" stuff.
I have flaggot exhaustion
>>43303904You're definitely not alone in that.
>>43303136>>43303019Oh, yeah, I've definitely felt like the captchas could be scaring posters away. I wouldn't mind seeing them be eased up on at some point.
>>43303136>X-7=19+XHow to solve?
>>43305622in a field of characteristic 2 or 13 it's true for all X
