G6 thread
>>43308697>This will be My Little Pony in 2016
>>43308697I unironically hope they do this. No CGI; I want live horses. They can do the Mr. Ed peanut-butter-under-the-lip trick for dialog.
>>43308729I am going to put peanut butter on my balsl and let horsey twi lick it off
>>43308697That's the only form of live action that has a chance of being decent.
>>43308697G6 will be the first AI-generated MLP generation- oh wait-
>>43308697Looking at what Hasbro has put out recently, like Transformers ONE being a great movie and the Cyberworld 5-minute episode cartoon on YouTube being decent for toddlers and little boys, alongside Mattel's very good He-Man movie, I think that G6 will be an overall good cartoon that has more positives than negatives. Hopefully, it will be a full 20-minute-per-episode TV show that airs on Hasbro Legends, which is basically their new The Hub.

>>43308943If the episodes aren't full length I am going to do something drastic
>>43308943>I think that G6 will be an overall good cartoon
>>43308697Will Meegan return for Gen6?
>>43309318Some people really are completely coked up on copium.
>>43309318Obviously later schizos will unconditionally hate it, but during the first thread the real opinion of Anons would be seen. For example, ANG was considered as "pretty meh", before schizos came and established their hivemind opinion as the main one.
>>43309399>muh schizosHoly cope
>>43309405/v/ phenomenon. Anons are paranoid of their "social status" (which is nonsense, but it's ubiquitous). Hating something is seen as cooler than loving something. Unless there are enough Anon with strong willpower to resist against it, the hivemind opinion ineviably gonna go down over time. Obviously Anons who think it was "meh" are not really attached to ANG and won't bother to defend their opinion.See: regular threads from offboarders who are trying to shit on s01, s02, Faust, etc.
>>43309411Or maybe... just maybe... g5 fucking sucks... woah...
>>43309318Yes.
>>43309318>>43309375Mark my words, G6 has a real chance at being good, and it will potentially be the best piece of MLP media behind seasons 1–3 of FIM. If Hasbro managed to do something good with Transformers and Mattel did something decent with He-Man, then there is a high chance that G6 will get the same treatment.>>43309416ANG is an overall good movie, and it is definitely better than the 2017 movie. It is not original. It is formulaic and by-the-book, yet still, it is the second-best MLP movie, right behind the original Rescue at Midnight Castle. The 2017 My Little Pony Movie had the most potential, but it wasted it completely.
>>43309456>Mark my words, G6 has a real chance at being good>and it will potentially be the best piece of MLP media behind seasons 1–3 of FIM>ANG is an overall good movie
>>43309411>shit on s01, s02, Faust, etc. There are some valid criticisms toward Faust and the first two seasons of FIM. Even in 2011, if you had tried to watch the show or join the fandom, most people would tell you to skip the first two-parter and start from The Ticket Master or even Dragonshy. There were a good few stumbles in the first two seasons, some smaller, some more jarring, that should be pointed out. Nevertheless, seasons 1–2 of FIM were the best MLP ever was, and no other MLP media can or ever will come even close to that level.
>>43309318>>43309461I get what you're saying, but you have to remember just how low our expectations were when we first started watching Friendship Is Magic in 2010, and how forgiving the early fandom actually was. After everything that went down with G5, I genuinely think Hasbro has the baseline formula down to make a proper MLP cartoon again. When you break it down, a successful pony show really only relies on three core pillars: a cute art style, good pony design, and likable characters or cool archetypes. The past generations prove that Hasbro can hit one of those targets at a time.>G1 had great classic high-fantasy concepts and solid character archetypes.>G3 had incredibly cute art styles and toy designs (even if the writing was purely for toddlers).>G5 had great individual pony designs and a highly likable cast, even if the corporate execution and storytelling fell flat.Since previous generations have always managed to solve at least part of the equation, G6 has a completely fair chance of finally putting all the pieces together into a proper pony show.
>>43309574>I genuinely think Hasbro has the baseline formula down to make a proper MLP cartoon again>G5 had great individual pony designs>G6 has a completely fair chance of finally putting all the pieces together into a proper pony show.Good lord you're delusional
>>43309574Yeah, but it's not Chris Cocks making the show after analysing all of past MLP, but producers and writers who just may or may not give a shit.
>>43309399>ANG was considered as "pretty meh", before schizos came and established their hivemind opinion as the main one. This was correct. During that time period anons thought the movie was not completely atrocious; there was some glimmer of hope that g5 as a series would be better than the doom predictions of urbanized Applejack and whatever dog shit plans the leaks had dug up.Of course G5 turned out shit, but Hasbro cutting costs and flipping their whole business model in the middle of production after previous CEO Goldner died and Cocks tools over kinda fucked any chance it had.
Bring back the writers, and the vibe, from early Friendship Is Magic. Those first few seasons (before Twilight became an alicorn) were 10/10.

>>43308943I remain all-in on 3 minute AI tiktok video doomer stocks. The show's just an ad for the toys, so it makes way more sense to disseminate it as broadly as possible, especially now that Goldner's dead and his media conglomerate merger with Lionsgate dream died with him. Couple that with the "kids have no attention span anymore and couldn't sit through a 22 minute cartoon" boomer thinking the execs probably have and the potential stock boast a "strategic licensing partnership with Open AI" press release could generate and the outcome is clear.
Bump
>>43310272>I remain all-in on 3 minute AI tiktok video doomer stocks.Exactly the same. Hasbro has already used AI before (even when it wasn't necessary at all because Ingram actually has the original music files, but Hasbro is retarded as we are all keenly aware of) and they already toyed with the 5-minute format with TYT and this was before ClipSlop was as popular as it is now. In fact, I think something like the TYT 5-minute format is the absolute most EXTREMELY OPTIMISTIC outcome possible. If anyone thinks we're ever going to get comfy slow paced 22-minute episodes again they're out of their mind.
>>43311999Also, making short AI clips coincidences with Hasbro's strategy that they tried to employ for G5 to incorporate "memes" into the material because they have cultural significance (so to speak) in their eyes. In a video that requires months of work to create this hardly works at all because the meme is outdated when the video airs (giving off high "how do you do fellow kids" vibes) but AI is perfect for this (again, in their eyes) because they can release material that references something that has been trending just for a few days.
>>43309874Anon...
>>43308697My little hoers would be an amazing show
>>43308697make it look like picrel, and have someone at least one step above "drooling retard downie" write the script and my wallet is yours, hasbro.
