Starlight becoming good opened the door for some fun episodes later on; she brought Trixie and Maud back with her too.EqG really doesn't work without Sunset; she's the main character, and the only one with any real emotional depth to her. Most of the EqG versions of the mane 6 are either flat (Applejack, Fluttershy) or flanderized in comparison (Pinkie and Dash.) Sunset is a better character than Glimmer is overall, and I have to give her props for carrying the entire EqG series on her back, but I like Glimmer more---and i'd rather watch MLP than EqG any day.
