They know the color of the coat, mane, personality, family, history, etc., even for background characters like Octavia for instance.We are at a stage where writing that Applejack is the Element of Honesty, hardworking but also stubborn, etc., adds next to nothing to what the model already knows and just wastes tokens.So what should go in descriptions IMO is:- Headcanon or alternate versions- Traits you want reinforced- Corrections if you see the AI is making a particular mistake, or instructions to try to stop things like Twilight being too much of a>SCIENCE!caricature, even if it's a hard battle.- Real descriptions if it's an OC or a really obscure pone.So it's empty because the basics are covered, but if needed, each player should personalize to their tastes.>is adding something as long as the SillyTavern card descriptions too much and will break the way the VN works?Nope. They allow you to manually choose a pony to bring or a new location to go to.See picrel.>DynamicYou don't have the buttons, but you trust the AI to automatically change locations or characters. Let's say you're at the library and invite Twilight to a Hayburger; most models will know to change to this during the output.Same for characters.You can see what is being sent to the AI for this in the Menu Prompt Editor under the Dynamic Location/Character tabs.>Dynamic+Dynamic but also with the manual buttons to force the AI if you want to do something more complex, for instance.Just know that this system doesn't work during "Story mode" (the start of the game where Twilight makes you visit her friends) but only during "Sandbox mode" (the mode you're in when you have all the ponies and all the locations on the map. >>43324923>>43324929Local chad here. 3 paragraphs about the most important aspects of the characters used to be enough for small local models(12b-35b range). If you're too lazy or can't brainstorm it yourself, just go into an AI chat provider with a big model and tell it that's what you're making/need and to brainstorm with you. Now that Lore Books are part of the VN, you should lean more heavily on those if you want more than that and to add character relationship details with each other it won't know(ie, put the Mane 6 and their dispositions/relationships towards one another individually in there, keep things specific to the subject character in the actual character blurb).Speaking of, there's a new model king for locals, better than my previous recommendation of HuahuaCS. Gemma 4 12B Queen it qat 1l by mradermacher. Better story beat comprehension, scene direction, and prose. Summaries are also good. I would say with good character details and correct settings, this is about on par with Gemini 3.5 Flash, with exception to the very rare factual error.
