That is not really true, Chrysalis can be quite pragmatic, that is how the marriage was always framed. If she marries Sombra she would still be the second most powerful being on the continent and she can still harvest rest of ponies for love within both realm.
And marriage with NMM could still work too, for example if the civil war drags on or if Celestia goes Daybreaker during it.

Do not let anyone else have ownership permission of your Discord server, GitHub repo, YouTube channel, etc.
Maintain a system-enforced top layer of control over EVERYTHING, where you are the sole individual in that layer.

It doesn't prevent your team turning on you, but it does prevent a coup which would otherwise seize the original "official" accounts from you and lock you out.
If the team wants to do their own thing, then they have to separate and start their own accounts, which will forever have the taint of being clear forks.
