>How did this Humanized thread get started? What happened to Fingerbang?

The Humanized thread was created when the various humanized threads (including Fingerbang) on /mlp/ decided to merge. The rest is history. Quite literally as of now.

It's been a while. Used to be a fingerbang lurker back in 15-17. Sorry for any meta/edginess.

>I picked at the dirt under my nails, keeping myself busy.
>Anything to get my mind on something else.
>Anything.
>Nobody really tells you how to prepare for the loss of a parent. Then again, it's not really a topic most people my age think is feasible.
>I sniffed sharply, filling the silence that I've irreversibly come acquainted with.
>The Equestrian Orphanage Society (EOS)'s front entrance is quite bland, but it's not like anywhere else is much better.
>The social worker said I won the lottery, in terms of nearby schools.
>Good sports team.
>Not a big sports guy.
>I saw the headlights of the school bus reaching the front, as my tall order hopes that I wouldn't be the only "Transition Age Youth" getting picked up here.
>A few teenagers on the locomotive stared inquisitively. The majority looked excitable, probably for the new school year.
>Peering over to see the "Canterlot High" plastered on the side of the bus was all I needed to confirm this was the right one to get on.
>The bus driver's eyes looked over me, seeming to be the most wary of who he was picking up.
>"Welcome to Canterlot High." He said, with as much positivity a career school bus driver could muster.
Thank you.
>I toted my government-provided schoolbag on my right shoulder, taking care to not bump into anyone as I made my way to an empty seat.
>The bus lurched forward, taking us all towards our final destination.
>Canterlot High. Not too standout of a name. Maybe for the better.
>I took a deep breath, trying to exhale out the added anxiety of an entirely new consensus of people to learn with and about.
>The window accompanying my bus seat feels cold against my forehead.
>The way I hit my head against it after the bus hit a bump wasn't as nice.
>I rubbed my cranium, making sure no one saw that.
>Another deep breath.
>I close my eyes.
>I think of Dad.
>I think of how he made sure I had everything before getting on the bus.
>I think of their smiles.
>I think, I think, I think.
>I shake my head, trying to physically change the psychological.
>I blink a few times, noticing our bus slowing down to turn off of the roadway.
>Canterlot High School. Massive Statue out front.
>Not bad. They definitely framed the exterior well enough.

>The bus lines up behind others of its kind, still waiting for their occupants to pool out.
>I wait for everyone else to get up and go, making my way into the aisle ahead of the ones that make it their prerogative to be the last ones off.
>Many such cases.
>Whatever. I stepped off the bus, getting a silent rush of exploring uncharted territory.
>I can't lie, this school does look pretty nice compared to the others I've been at. Not too high of a bar to pass though.
>I rifle through my bag as I followed the herd, breaking out of it to read over my class schedule that was handed to me.
>First class. Amareican Literature.
>Someone gets to say the N word during a book reading. Fun!
>I weave back into the crowd, getting inside.
>Am I weird for thinking that schools have their own distinct smell?
>Looks like there isn't a dress code at this school. Definitely a lot of "creativity" in outfits.
>I make it to my class, darting my eyes between my paper and numbers over classroom doors like a chimp trained in front of a touchscreen.
>The classroom was on the quiet side, though it seems some longtime friends had found seating near each other to share conversations.
>I make eye contact with the teacher. A bearded, square-framed guy. He clicks something on his computer after he "profiles" me.
>"Anon?"
Yes.
>"Welcome to American Literature. Find a seat." He said with a wary and pretentious droning.
>I used the urinal rule, finding a seat equal parts distant from other kids around it.
>Worry is setting in, but I can't let it consume me.
>"First year here?"
>The voice was feminine, but had a laid back tone to it.
>I turned my head to my right, seeing a lady wearing a leather jacket. Daring.
>The hairstyle was pretty flamboyant too.
Uh, yeah. Do I give that look off already?
>I smiled a little, keeping things cordial.
>"I could see it at the doorway," She leaned forward in her desk. "You seem a little tense."
>I shrugged.
Can't help it.
>She nodded.
>"Happens to the best of us. Sunset."
>She offered a limp hand. Not really preferring to have too much contact, I shook her hand tenderly for a brief second.
Anon.
>I didn't really like the way she was eyeing me, but I don't think she means harm.

>The remaining classmates sporadically file in, and class begins.
>I dissociate most of it, really listening to parts that aren't small talk or "jokes".
>This school seems more self-determinate; The way this teacher speaks makes me feel like he's available for questions, but he won't overstep.
>I hope that my assumptions are correct.
>The feeling of my jaw tensing makes me aware that I was probably sitting stiff for longer than normal.
>I breathe silently, unclenching my jaw.
>In my peripherals, I can sense that Sunset girl's eyes on me again.
>I lean back in my chair, playing it off as if I knew nothing of it.
>Her gaze shifts forward, confirming my assumptions.
>I really wish I could be a little less on-guard, but I can't help it.
>Maybe later.
>The class's introductions went over as according to the teacher's plans, which meant he monologued and made someone look stupid.
>Par for the course.
>The bell sounds, the metal sounding sharper than the speaker tone I've heard in schools before.
>I make my way into the hallways, just like everyone else.
>Sunset made her way over to some other girls. They seemed like a colorful bunch.
>They seemed happy. Good for them.
>My next class was Home Ec.
>They really put me in some "blah" classes. Not that I mind too much.
>The class was comprised of a bunch of pseudo-kitchens framed around a few work tables in the center of the class.
>Cool. Looks neat.
>The seats weren't really seats... just stools placed beside the tables.
>I slid my backpack under a table, taking the stool adjacent to it.
>My table was empty. Hopefully it stayed that way.
>Fat chance.
>Two girls walked in, chatting their heads off to each other.
>They spotted my table, seeing as it was the only one empty save for me, and made their way towards it.
>Lotta girls at this school.

>They giggled practically all the way to the table, sitting across from me.
>The pink one was definitely the cause of this giddyness, I can just tell from her disposition.
>The white one seemed nice.
>Woah.
>Not nice. Very pretty. VERY pretty.
>Damn. This is new. uhhhhhhhhfuckwhatdoi
>"Hi Anon! Welcome to Canterlot High!" The pink one said.
>... what?
Thanks...? How do you know my name already?
>"Easy! I get a list of all the new students to our school. Done it since freshman year!" She replied.
>I stuck my neck out in bewilderment, the cogwheels in my head hiccuping as they turned.
>All the students?
>My eyes naturally turned to her friend, the pretty one.
>She nodded knowingly.
>"Pinkie is an immaculate socialite, darling. She puts my networking skills to shame."
>She said the second sentence as she ran a hand through her hair, unintentionally (maybe) sending a wave of the smell of her fragrant shampoo towards my way.
>Mmm. Smells fancy. Like a wine I've never had.
>The sensory tease defused any scrutiny I had previously, and I deflated into my more relaxed posture on the uncomfortable barstool.
Alright.
>"I hope you like desserts in this class, Anon. They're my speciality!" Pinkie said.
I can get down with some sweets.
>I said, nodding soberly.
>"Good, maybe you can take the brunt of the sugar intake then. It's imperative that I watch my figure before our big cruise this coming summer." The white one said.
>The way she said that was as if she was subliminally inviting me to look over her, but I kept my eyes to myself.
>Pinkie started her remark with a snicker. "It's August, Rarity. Isn't that, like, almost an entire year from now?"
>Rarity planted an elbow on the table, staring smugly. "A lady can never be too prepared, darling."

>The teacher came in soon after. She was a nice looking old lady.
>Apparently she was the school's lunch lady too.
>That must be a hectic schedule to work around.
>Pinkie's enthusiasm wasn't an understatement. For our first task, the teacher had us make some oreo cookie balls.
>Scrape the inside of the cookies out, mix the insides with cream cheese, crush the cookie crust, mix.
>Pinkie wrested control of practically every part of it, and for good reason.
>Good good did she work fast.
>Rarity looked at me in my amazement as if she was questioning why I was amazed at this point.
>The BALLS were placed on a tray, and placed into our kitchen's little freezer.
>I checked around the classroom, and kids were still working on the cream cheese.
>All we could really do is shoot the breeze, now.
>"So, Anon. What's your favorite thing about Canterlot High so far?" Pinkie asked.
>She leaned forward, seeming interested in my response. This is new.
Uh... Well. The school seems pretty nice. Well-kept.
>"Ohmigosh! Right? It's so pretty! I love coming to this school!"
>I'm pretty sure she said more, but the words came out like a machine gun.
>I darted my eyes over to Rarity, who was using a makeup mirror to look at herself.
>Pretty sure she's done that twice now.
>Damn, she is pretty. It would be worth commissioning a portrait of her.
>"What's your favorite part about the school, Rarity?"
>Rarity froze in her vain gesture, staring blankly in response to the question.
>"Um, I would definitely have to say the extracurriculars they have here. There's never a dull moment." She answered, popping her mirror closed as she stowed it away.
>I caught myself staring at her movements, fixing my eyes on something else.
>What about this lady is so magnetizing to me?
>"Well, MY favorite part of this school as all the friends I get to see!" Pinkie said.
That's very nice of you, Pinkie.
>"It comes naturally." Pinkie said in a conceited tone, not sounding serious.
>I snickered at the tone she held, drawing a couple shapes on the table.
>Our timer went off, and Pinkie joyfully gasped. She shot up and zipped over to the freezer.

>Pinkie brought the tray back to our table, and sure enough the frosted oreo balls looked how they were described.
>"Mmm, these look delectable!" Rarity said, looking over the tray.
>The elderly teacher came over, nodding to us proudly at our results.
>I don't think this one was for a grade, but it's the first day anyways.
>We took one each, popping them into our mouths.
>Not bad. I nodded in enjoyment.
Nice job, Pinkie.
>"Thanks! Thanks for helping." She replied.
>I feel like I didn't really do much, but I was grateful for her endearing words anyways.
>"Mmm, Anon. You really should meet our friends." Rarity said, covering her mouth with a hand as she chewed.
>Ladies sure move fast.
Really? Aren't they all girls?
>"Not all of them! Spike isn't a girl." Pinkie brought up, her mouth full.
>"Spike is a puppy, darling." Rarity said.
>"Yeah, but he can talk!"
>What?
>"Anyways... Anon, it would be nice if you would stop by for lunch to visit our little circle for lunch."
>Everybody is so nice here. What's in the water?
>I can't lie, the forwardness was making my heart throw a fit. This is a lot.
>I think the two noticed my pause.
Thank you, but I think I'm going to try to get my bearings. First day at this school and all.
>I'm afraid.
>I'm afraid, and alone.
>Rarity and Pinkie nodded at each other.
>"Absolutely fair, darling. The invitation is extended, anytime you're willing."
>The bell rang, and Pinkie nabbed a Ziploc bag for the little treats.
>After she plucked them all into the baggie, she handed me the collection.
>These ladies are very nice.
>The remainder of school day went by like a whirlwind.
>As the final bell rang, I stepped out onto the back sidewalk for buses. Pinkie and her friends spotted me, herself alone waving as the rest were busy doing other things.
>I waved back, before filing in to my assigned bus.
>Back to desolation.
>Not to say I'm not grateful for the amenities provided to me at the EOS, it's just drab. And I'm not allowed to leave once I'm back.
>I step off the bus, alone. The EOS is just how I'd left it.
>I step through the double doors, greeted by the front desk worker.
>After signing off on the check-in sheet (alone, save for a few kids written in by chaperoned adults), I walked off to my room.
>The lounge area had some stuff to keep me busy, but public television can only hold me so long.
>The shared room I had was pretty barebones. I didn't have much when I was admitted.
>I'm just glad I had the room to myself.
>Built like a dorm room, the accommodation had beds on both sides. An adjoining desk at the foot of each.
>I plopped in my bed, decompressing.

>I slid off into sleep pretty quickly, which is uncommon.
>I dreamt of a creek. A familiar one.
>I looked down into a shallow part of it, seeing the minnows swim against the current.
>The ripples created off of the jutting pebbles reflected off of the sunlight.
>At once, I felt immense hands picking me up. I was placed on someone's shoulders.
>It was Dad.
>Like a Carthaginian elephant soldier, I rode atop him as he walked alongside the creek as he toted me like cargo.
>My infantile hands played with his hair.
>"Anon."

>"Anon. Dinner's made. Come grab some."
>I woke up in a daze, rubbing an eye.
Got it. Thank you.
>The social worker disappeared down the hallway.
>I breathed deeply, fighting back the tears.
>A vain effort.
>I silently balked, tears running down my face.
>I miss my Dad.
>I practiced my breathing exercises, the flow being interrupted by sorrowful hiccups.
>I wiped my face, trying to remove any signs of distress as I got up.
>A final clear exhale was my sign that I was ok again.
>I made my way into the dining area, the kid-sized long tables my seating as I received my tray of government-issued slop.
>Not all too bad. The muffin was pretty good.
>I respectfully stowed the tray where it needed to go, returning to my room to get prepared to wash and afterwards try to get more sleep.

>Apple Bloom asked "Why would Sunset notify us instead of you?"
"Well I apologize for beating around the bush, but I'm just having some difficulty saying this honestly. Today we established that CHS is a credible threat thanks to it's new King. The King who is by definition a boy."
"So *I'm* the one that's going to need a rescue because the teleporter is going to take ME!"

>Everyone aside from my Queen, who already knew, reacted in shock.
>In unison my Sisters cried out "Brother! NO!"
I had to hold up my hand to get them to be quiet enough to pay attention. "Look everyone, I get it. But the wheels are already in motion and we can't change this. And more to the point, why would we want to?"
"Look. The teleporter was always the trickiest part of solving this eight way war. They're a war criminal that has caused hundreds of boys to die a tortured death. They HAVE to be dealt with or we can't get peace. Does anyone disagree?"
>They couldn't refute the plain truth of course. Didn't mean they wanted to risk me.
"Okay there's a LOT we still don't know about the teleporter, but there was only ever one reliable way to influence their actions. Become a threat they could NOT ignore while being a threat they don't understand." I stated.
>Senpai informed "I get being a threat they can't ignore. And if it weren't for the whole dying part I'd say that's brilliant. But what do you mean by a threat they don't understand?"
With a gleem in my eye, I said "I'll ask it simply. Why does the teleporter only TP boys and not girls? What's different? Something that could affect a super power?"
>With wide eyes senpai said "Boys don't have super powers! Well most of them. Wait, so THAT's the threat they don't understand?"
>I just smiled as the realization swept through all of them.
"That's why I asked the Seniors to avoid mentioning my powers during the fight." I revealed.
>Rainbow said "I think I get it. But why does only Sunset get to go along for the rescue?"
"Well obviously fewer folks means a faster response, but the bigger reason is I think we may get some prisoners too. That means space is at a premium and my Queen's powers are most relevant to the situation. I'm glad everyone WANTS to go honestly. But at times like this, I ask you to please let me be practical all right?"
"I'm sorry this was a shock, but I didn't set the gender rules on this and the sooner it's done, the more boys we save and the sooner we can get to peace. And peace is the whole point of ALL of this." I said.
>Apple Bloom asked with an undertone of deliberate anger "Brother you mentioned prisoners. Are you planning on capturing the teleporter?"
>>
>>43352083
"Oh! Ah, no." I stated. "Sorry I left that unclarified Sister. The simple fact is there's to much we don't know about her power. Including how to neutralize it outside of a medically induced coma, which is beyond us in the Pussy Wagon. She has to die I'm afraid because we can't capture her safely. The other two we know about in that harem have to die for the same reason."
>Apple Bloom had calmed down but followed up with "Well then who are we taking prisoners?"
"Police reports from across the years indicate the teleporter brings along a crew of boys with baseball bats, My guess is that one of those is the boy that powers the teleporter's harem. We want him alive."
>In unison my Sisters asked "Why?"
"Well, without the rest of the harem, we'll want him to provide evidence and testimony for the eventual inquiries we'll have to face. And then there's the matter of making him available to our widows. Wallflower has some healers available to her and so as long as they don't just kill him, he will satisfy their needs for justice and relief at the same time for a LONG time."
>My Sisters looked at each other for around ten seconds and then said in unison "Okay. We can live with that."
"All right. Let's get back to class then everyone!" I said as I clapped my hands twice.
>Rainbow was instantly next to me as the rest of the folks went to their assignments saying "You enjoy being in charge like that don't ya?" with a smile.
" Sometimes sure." I admitted. "But I'm only in charge because it's my plan on how to end the war. After that I'm just another student."
>As Rainbow put her hand on my butt she opined "I'm not so sure about that. You're good at this and folks like that. You DID notice that absolutely EVERYONE wanted to ride to your rescue didn't you?"
"That was very flattering sure. But I'd like to think they'd ride to save any CHS student." I said sheepishly."
>Rainbow smiled as she declared "You're deflecting again. But you're MINE tonight so I get to ride to your rescue next. Now kiss me so we can both go teach our classes."
>During dinner that night, Rainbow's parents sensed something was bothering their daughter and pressed until we revealed I had to go into the teleporter's trap alone.
>They were a bit annoyed with me but they couldn't refute the logic either. Especially after I explained the teleporter would always have come after me at some point anyway. All I had done was put myself in the front of the line.
>And I had spent twenty lives to do it.
>Sure I had offered surrender.
>Sure I had offered peace.
>But twenty folks were still dead.
>>
>>43352084
>All so I had a predictable shot at the teleporter.
>Alone, and not on my terms.
>But it was the only shot I could get.
>And if I can deal with the teleporter, then peace becomes possible.
>Like I said, they couldn't refute the logic.
>But that didn't mean they had to like me going into something that had killed hundreds of boys before me.
>So I got an earful and I couldn't really blame them.
>The next day was Saturday and so we got together at Sugar Cube Corner as per usual.
>It was Pinkie's day. So after that hangout I was in the locker being made available to ALL of my girlfriends as Pinkie watched.
>Dinner with the Cakes that night went much as it had with Rainbow's parents the night before.
>They expressed proper concern and curiosity about what Pinkie was annoyed with.
>I had to explain myself.
>Once again my logic was sound.
>Once again I got an earful anyway.
>Sunday at Fluttershy's the pattern repeated.
>Even Angel chittered angrily at me for about a minute!
>Only Alicorn seemed to be on my side on this, telling me my plan was good.
>I would just have to endure the criticism from the well meaning parents.
Monday in PE I declared "Sisters! I know you're still in the middle of a mission but I need to start training you for your next one."
>In unison they asked "Is it another 'soft' mission Brother?"
Brightly I answered "It is NOT."
>A smiling Apple Bloom asked "Will we get to fight Brother?"
"I'm not gonna say it's 100%, but it's FAR more likely than not." I stated.
>Scootallo asked "Will we get to kill Brother?"
"Again, it's far more likely than not." I said.
>Sweetie Belle stated "It sounds like you're giving us a REAL mission Brother."
"I told you ladies I would keep you in mind, and you know I value my promises."
>Smiling they politely asked in unison "Please tell us what we need to know Brother."
"Okay, this is a two-stage mission." I said while holding up 2 fingers. "What we're going to train on today is the first stage, but it's important to know you want to ration your power usage in the first stage so you can still fight in the second if needed. But most of our training will focus on the first stage."
>>
>>43352086
"The scenario is this. You all pull up in front of the enemy school with the Pussy Wagon and each of you has a role. Scootallo has to carry an item while flying to the front of the school and then she has to perform a 'task' with the item. While she is doing both of these things, she really isn't able to defend herself."
"Which means Sweetie Belle has to defend Scootaloo at range in a manner that preserves her power and deters others from attacking Scootaloo. A lot of our training today will focus on this."
"Apple Bloom will have to defend herself, Sweetie Belle, and the Pussy Wagon."
"Oh and the Pussy Wagon will have several cameras mounted on her that will be remote controlled from CHS for this mission."
"And once Scootaloo is done with her 'task', she flies back to the Pussy Wagon and y'all take off. That's loosely the plan for the first stage."
>While I had been explaining, senpai had been setting up.
"So for today's training Scootaloo is in the middle of her 'task' and unable to defend herself. To simulate this she will hang still on the climbing rope senpai has set up near the targets in the back. Aside from moments of sheer terror, she going to have it easy during this training."
"Well, unless Sweetie Belle fails to protect her that is." I said.
>Senpai was finishing up laying cushioned mats triple deep across the back half of the gym.
>Sweetie Belle asked "Protect her from what exactly?"
"Fair question." I admitted. "To simulate random super powers and flying folks, senpai is going to throw me at Scootaloo and sometimes Apple Bloom until I get tired. Say 'pull' to start when ready please."
>Scootaloo practically screams "Until HE gets tired? What kind of messed up stuff is that?"
>Sweetie Belle just smiled and said "Pull."
>My organs were regretting newtonian physics as I was quickly accelerated at Scootaloo.
>Sweetie Belle deflected my trajectory and I missed Scootaloo by maybe a foot, but probably closer to 8".
>Senpai had instructions to not turn this into a contest of who was the stronger telekinetic, but to let Sweetie Belle's actions stand.
>Next senpai launched me at Apple Bloom, who punched me back across the gym!
I was loudly chuckling at that result and suddenly yelled "PULL!"
>Senpai sent me flying at Scootaloo again!
>Like before, Sweetie Belle deflected it.
I called out "Stop." and was returned to my Sisters.
"Sweetie Belle, did you notice the difference between your actions and Apple Bloom's?" I asked.
>Sweetie Belle furrowed her brow and asked "How do you mean?"
"I asked you to deter others from attacking with your actions. Apple Bloom knocked me across the gym. Do you think anyone who sees that wants to mess with her?" I inquired.
>Sweetie Belle was silent, so I continued.
>>
>>43352089
"I can take whatever punishment you want to dish out so there's no need to hold back okay? Now what I need from you is to put the fear of God into whoever looks at Scootaloo funny. Deflecting like that won't cut it. You're just asking them to take another shot at your friend!"
>She was still silent, but the struggle was evident on her face.
"Look we all know that you are, in fact, a kind and gentle person. And we love that about you. But we need something else for this mission to succeed. Anyone who attacks your friend needs to PAY. Am I clear?"
>She gave me a couple of quick nods. One more push.
"Have you realized where I'm going to send you yet?" I asked quietly.
>Sweetie Belle shook her head.
"To the school that took Billy from you." I said.
>Suddenly I was a rag doll for the next two minutes! Flip flopping repeatedly into floors and walls with a huge amount of force!
>I went from floor to ceiling at least four times!
>She may have tried to pull me limb from limb but it's kinda hard to tell that.
>She DID grab me by various body parts to slam me into the floor and walls.
>Like my wrist, ankle, and neck.
>I was also STOMPED into the floor so many times I lost count.
>After I went 10 seconds without an attack I stood up with a gentle smile
>Sweetie Belle was taking deep breaths hugging Apple Bloom
"All right. I'd say that went pretty well. Scootaloo you can come down now." I said with a smile.
>Scootaloo came down and hugged Sweetie Belle as well.
>Sweetie Belle was just blankly staring at me.
>My guess is she had never wanted to display how much rage she felt over Billy's loss. To say nothing of taking it out on someone younger.
I held up my hands, palms out towards her and said "It's all right. I told you I could take it and asked for it. How are YOU feeling?"
>Sweetie Belle looked at me and said "A-after you said that. I just felt so much ANGER. I feel bad I aimed it at you though."
"No need to feel bad about that. As you can see I wasn't harmed and I gave you permission ahead of time. Do you think you got some of that anger out of your system?"
>Sweetie Belle looked introspective for a moment and stated "Some of it, yeah."
"Good." I said, still smiling. "Now just a quick word to debrief. You can unleash the whoop ass when you need to. Now you have discretion, but you probably won't need to kill anyone during phase one as I expect there will just be random students milling about when you pull up. Someone tries to kill you or your friends? Ice them. But if they just want to run, please let them."
>>
>>43352092
"When we get to phase two though, THOSE folks are there to kill you and phase two won't be very long after phase one. So make good choices on when to use your power in phase one."
>Class continued on normally after that.
>Tonight I was with my Queen.
>Which meant no lectures from parents tonight! I caught a break!
>Oh wait, here's Vice Principal Luna with chinese food.
>Guessing a lecture is on the menu too.
>Gotta give it to her, she kept it to small talk as we ate. Asked us to call her Luna outside of school too.
>Luna stated "I'll cut to the chase. Anonymous we've had several calls from parents about your plans. They're.. concerned that you don't seem to be able to see things from their point of view. I was hoping we could come to a better understanding?"
"Well heaven knows I don't want to disrespect my girlfriends or their families. I'm very grateful to all of them." I said.
>Luna smiled and said "No one thought you intended any disrespect. It's more you plan seems outlandish to them but they can't seem to convey that to you."
"Hmm. I thought my plan was pretty simple and straightforward honestly. I don't know how many ways I can say 'when I get teleported, I'm going to beat the stuffing out of everyone in the vicinity' after all." I stated.
>Luna observed "And you say that with such a straight face. Anonymous, how many people is that do you think?"
"Well, there's the teleporter of course, and she's priority. The two different types of burns Billy suffered suggest two more harem members. And then police reports suggest 3-6 boys with baseball bats."
>Luna concluded "Anonymous, that's up to nine people. Do you honestly think you can beat that many up?"
"Well yeah. Why wouldn't I?" I answered without hesitation. "Between my powers and the element of surprise they give me, it should be doable. The trickiest part is identifying the teleporter of course."
>My Queen just put her head in her hands at that.
>Luna then said "Okay. I think I may see where the disconnect is. Anonymous I think you may have forgotten how exceptional you are when it comes to combat when compared to a more average individual."
"How do you mean?" I asked in earnest.
>Luna recounted "Do you recall back on the first week of school when that boy came at you with a knife? I interviewed you after that and you weren't panicked, or worried, or even stressed aside from getting a reputation you didn't want. When it came down to the combat itself, you were BORED."
>My Queen nodded for emphasis.
>>
>>43352094
>Luna continued "It got crazier the next week when three senior girls came at you with WEAPONS and it's generous to say you were barely interested. You only ran away from them because fighting them would have caused you more headaches after. Then Adagio actually GOT your attention and you embarrassed her entire squad. Only Sunset intervening kept it from going farther than that."
>"So when you say you can take on nine people, well I have to concede that it's possible you can actually do it, BUT.. How do I phrase this? What if Sunset here were faced with the same odds?"
I paused to consider how to answer respectfully "She'd fight well, but even ponied up, well I just don't see that working out well for her. Sorry dear."
>My Queen gave me a gentle smile saying "No worries, it's accurate."
>Luna carried on buoyed by her progress "Now imagine Rainbow's dad."
"Oh that's a BAD matchup. I'd rather not think about,... OH. I've been a bit socially awkward on this haven't I?" I asked in belated understanding.
>My Queen stated "If that's the phrase that helps you understand, then yes. Yes you have."
>Luna explained "What you would want to remember in talking to parents or other more average folks, is that they naturally will tend to apply THEIR limits to situations like that. So when you say you're going to take on nine folks, well it doesn't sound realistic to them because THEY couldn't do it."
"I think I'm starting to get it. But I CAN actually take on that many. And like I said, my main worry is not letting the teleporter get away."
>My Queen asked "And what if they scatter?"
With a smile I said "That's the beauty part. They can't, aside from the teleporter. They can't risk me getting away to spill the beans. They KNOW they'll be severely punished if they return with failure."
>My Queen looked at me in disbelief saying "But you already know everything."
"Yeah I know." I said with some giggling. "That's the funny part!"
"So how do I make things right with the parents?" I asked...
>Soon all of the girls got a text to relay to the concerned parents.
"So I know there's been a disconnect between us over my plans and I've finally been helped to understand your points of view. Of course I never intend to disrespect any of you. Having so many people openly showing that they care about me is,.. a bit new to me and I'm always worried I'm going to make some idiotic mistake because I do, in fact, care what you think about me even if I don't always know how to show it."
"I don't talk about my past much because I came to CHS to change myself and get away from what I had been. And the truth you've all guessed is that I was very violent. You've also seen how studious I am and I'm pretty sure you'll believe me when I say I learned from every fight. Now CHS needs me to remember my past lessons. Most folks walk away from 2 vs. 1 fight. For me it takes 3 vs. 1 before I start to pay serious attention."
>>
>>43352096
"I'm aware that the odds are greater than that, but that means I can fight without limits! I CAN actually do this. I can walk into their trap and reverse it. As soon as I'm able I'll contact Sunset and she will coordinate things after that from her end."
"Thank you all for caring enough about me to tell me your concerns!"
>After that, my Queen felt better about the whole situation.
>The next day in PE I focused on training the Cheerleaders again.
>Sweetie Belle had learned what I wanted to teach her about moves that deter.
>Then I briefly explained how the second phase would go.
>They frowned through most of it until I got to the end.
>Tuesday night was for Applejack and I got grilled by Granny in private on my fighting ability.
>Granny had a mountain of mysterious experience herself, so convincing her didn't take as long as it might have.
>And she was the only one of the parents besides Luna I COULD convince.
>The rest of them just lacked any real experience with fighting so all they had was conventional wisdom to fall back on.
>It also didn't hurt that Granny had been carefully tracking the training I had been giving the girls in general either.
>She rarely had any notes to offer me. But I listened when she did.
>After about twenty minutes, Granny said she could allow that it might be possible for me. BUT she made me promise to grab a phone at the earliest opportunity and contact my Queen. Even if folks were still trying to beat on me!
>So I promised her I would.
>Later that night, a horrified scream came from Applejack's room!
>Granny and Big Mac rushed in without knocking because they knew what had happened!
>Applejack had tears running down her face as she screamed "HE'S GONE!!"

>Granny immediately moved to hug her and asked "Have you told Sunset yet?"
>Through her sobs Applejack managed "uh-uh."
>Granny said "It's okay. I'll handle that. Big Mac comfort your sister."
>Big Mac wasn't in much better shape as he hugged her.
>Granny was on the phone saying "Sunset? It happened. Also one more thing please."

>I don't really dream as much anymore.
>I woke up feeling groggy, minutes before my alarm.
>I took the extra time to pay extra attention to my hygiene in the shared bathroom.
>A couple more passes with the comb, an extra round with the toothbrush.
>My breath tasted minty, and my eyes seemed bright.
>Externally, I looked like a functioning person.
>And that's all anyone really sees.
>The bus came by, smoothly receiving me and getting to the high school on time.
>I was surprised inside by Pinkie, who greeted me boisterously amongst her friends she had brought along with her.
>All smiles.
>"Gooooood morning, Anon! Say hi to my friends!"
As much as I can be. Hi everyone.
>They all briefly waved, seeming as embarrassed as I was at this staged interaction.
>"That's Applejack, That's Twilight, You've met Rarity...."
>Pinkie's introductions revved up like a lawnmower engine.
>"Annnnnnd this is Sunset!"
>"We've met before, Pinkie. He's in my first class this year." Sunset interjected.
Yeah. She sits in the row next to me.
>"You okay by the way? You seemed a little tense."
>Mask on.
Just a bit on guard, new school and all.
>"You'll have no worries about that if you stick with us, Anon. We'll look out for you."
>Very reaffirming coming from ladies.
>Sorry, just dealt with a lot of assholes in schools before.
Thanks, Sunset. And thanks to all of you for saying hi.
>The bell rings. Englisch ist mein lieblingsfach.
>The girls part ways. Sunset tags along with me, naturally.
>I feel like I've been pretty silent.
Have you had this teacher before?
>"Mr.Goldman? Yeah. Bit of a nerd, but he's our teacher. Can't really work around that."
>I nodded.
I guess I'll just adapt.
>"Best thing you can do."
>We stepped into class, into our known seats.
>Our first book was assigned. Odyssey.

Hello everyone! It's Tuesday and time for an update to How to be Dense!
https://ponepaste.org/11423
This installment went in unexpected directions as minor characters asserted themselves.
In creating his plan, Anon has either overlooked or underestimated his importance to others.
Also more character development for the cheerleaders.

NEXT WEEK
HE'S GONE!

>Not too bad. I knew some honors kids that were put on a pedestal for reading it in middle school.
>I like the way this one is written. The imagery it provides puts a certain imagination in my head.
>This guy is stuck on an island with a mermaid lady fucking him everyday? How terrible.
>At least we aren't popcorn reading.
>"You sure you're ok?" Sunset asked in a whisper, out of the blue.
>She must've seen one of my little anxious fidgets.
Yeah, how come you ask?
>"You were pretty locked up yesterday. If you wanna talk, we can set aside some time for lunch today for it."
>This is like, day two. I can't wrap my head around how hospitable the students are here!
>She's definitely on my case too.
>I sighed.
Stuff is moving a little fast for me. I just...
>The teacher cleared his throat, looking between the both of us with scrutiny.
Lunch.
>I said, before defeatedly returning to reading.
>Home Ec was looking to be chill. Ms. Smith put on a food safety video.
>"Watch. This part always gets me." Pinkie said in a hushed tone.
>A man in the video slipped on a greasy floor, making an unnatural noise.
>Pinkie stifled a laugh, snorting out the majority of it over the hand on her mouth.
>Rarity shook her head, rolling her eyes with a smile.
>We decided to flip the assignment page that had been handed out to make drawings together.
>Pinkie's drawings of balloons were goofy, but accurate. She obviously had drawn them before.
>Rarity was drawing faceless sketches of figures, practicing anatomy.
>I tried drawing different safari animals, though I wasn't too good at it.
>Pinkie and I would take turns sharing our little drawings, pointing out little features we liked or were funny.
>Rarity had finished hers, sliding the paper forward to show a little figure mid-pirouette.
>Pretty solid, though it's missing something.
>With a couple pencil strokes, I put a moustache on the figure's face.
>Pinkie found it to be comedy gold, Rarity not so much.
>She crossed her arms, flustered at me.
>Though I did feel a tinge sorry for the little act, I don't think I really dislike how pretty she looked even in her state.
