Before you got to Equestria, there was a Previous Anon. Previous Anon was a hero to the ponies and a fine upstanding citizen but just so happened to also be horrifically racist against your particular race. So if you're black for example, Previous Anon warned the ponies about the dangers of dark-skinned humans, 100% of which he unknowingly made up. And the ponies all believe him enough to kill you on sight. Do you risk trying to convince the dumb horses that you're not all that bad, or do you just exile yourself back to Earth like the coward that you are?

They forgave Starlight whos a megalomaniacal, mentally disturbed, anti-social, demented, unhinged unicorn who destroys timelines, enslaves people, steals Cutie Marks (which is probably as close to stealing someones soul), mind-controls people and is just horribly unpleasant to be around, yet they deal with her just fine. They forgave the changelings after numerous invasions, accept Spike even though his species is predatory, hell even Fluttershy keeps dangerous predators who try to maul or eat each other around in a small, city block sized "sanctuary." Nothing you do could compare to the bullshit they abide by on a daily basis.
